  1. I bought some 13 years ago.
  2. There's a dude with a tin tiller, a modified cooler to hold fish, two rods, and a three-tray hip-roof tackle box. He shows up to local opens and is quietly massing a retirement fund from all the donations he receives from others that enter these contests. He's the best I know.
  3. I have an uncle that makes his own and brings plenty to share around the holidays. It's sooooooo good.
  4. Your steelhead are alive and strong, though on the wrong coast. Every drainage ditch that leads to the lake has them.
  5. Good tech doesn't require any special knowledge.
  6. Interesting, how would that even work? I've used TourneyX, and it works great for this.
  7. The skirts last forever and a bit more puff when wire tied. It's the only way to go, if you ask me.
  8. I think you're onto something! Spoken in an English accent: "I prefer a spot of lemon in my Scuppernong tea!"
  9. I've been in just a few 10' boats that were stable enough to stand in, but none of them paddle well. This is a relatively inexpensive boat. Sounds like your budget is constrained to below $1000. Consider a used boat with a reputation for quality and stability. You should be able to find a Ride 115 in your budget used.
  10. I'm here to offer positive vibes. Hoping you get a path to recovery, and a speedy one.
  11. Dip your craw tips in Merthiolate JJ's Magic
  12. Merthiolate is southern for pink.
  13. Life.
  14. I agree, those look like clams. Mussels have a more elongated shell:
  15. I think you have make mention of Larry Nixon in the same sentence as those two.
  16. I love Instagram. Follow who you want, seems like less ads, if you get bored of seeing a certain feed, mute it. You have much more control over what's in your feed than FB or Twitter.
  17. Oh my goodness, we got blasted with 1/4" of snow last night. Still waiting for the other shoe to drop on this winter.
  18. Lots of iffy calls that did not go the Saints way.
  19. I ordered a pound of Ethiopian blend from these guys. One of the owners is Tony Hawk's son. https://steelmillcoffee.com/pages/about
  20. It's the rules in some creeks. They haven't gone to that extent here, but the rules for any Great Lakes tributary are very restrictive in winter. The thing is, the restrictions work. The limit for rainbow trout is one. It has to be 25" or better. Let that sink in. What ever they're doing on schplurg's creek has some purpose that is geared for improving the fishing.
  21. I'm just curious why you are towing a boat if your a non boater? I don't think I'd let some rando tow my boat, but that's me.
  22. I get the ROF concept. Mass, profile, shape of the bait, etc all affect that, and I do think it makes a difference. The discussion drifted off to lala land, wood sinkers, and the buoyancy of the Titanic. The answer to how much is enough is: that much. Because.
  23. Can't make this one. Have fun gents!
  24. Edge? Already one version of it deprecated. The newer "Chrome Edge" is fine. Speaking of, just go to Chrome, download the installer, and use that. If you are worried about the Google tracking your whereabouts and whatchits using it, you'll have to get rid of a lot more than that. Since the company I work for sells cloud hosted applications, I'm pretty sure you know where I keep my tinfoil hat.
  25. I disagree. The only reason they print it in the first place is people lap it up, especially when it suits the narrative. I digress, this treading verboten wasser.
