Shad rap replacement hook
Rapala stock hooks are VMC, which are fine. I like to replace with Owner ST-36 for this sized bait.

Security Software For An Apple Computer
If your keylogger is better than theirs, you may make a fortune when they buy it from you for their analytics, lol.

Bass and Crappie Colored Lures???
I had a bass patterned Rebel Deep R in the 80s that caught so many species. Clearly, it's not just bass that like to eat bass.

Security Software For An Apple Computer
As part of a shop that develops apps for web, (hem)Droid, and iOS, I can confirm this. It sort of tosses a wrench in the continuous deployment model when you have to wait two months before getting bounced back because your screen shot was off by a pixel. They are extremely picky, which is why shifting to an adaptive browser based app is the way to go (like BassResource.com does, just saying...).

Anyone Use A Lure Retriever?
I have a plug knocker style retriever. It has been 100% successful in getting baits back. It's paid for itself many times over.

Difference between Graphite vs Carbon rod contruction?
The two terms are somewhat synonymous in the industry. Graphite is a crystalline form of carbon.

Side imaging kayak
Looks clean. Was it a single piece of extruded L channel that was cut? I'm trying to envision what it started as.

Daiwa Steez Limited and New Alphas
Get over it.

Spike It vs. JJ's Magic
The bottles aren't pressurized. Any liquid in a sealed container can make a mess, if heated or shaken. So, don't do either. You've been warned.

New fishfinder I can move between kayak and BassBaby?
Ram mount the the head unit, use a deployment arm for the TD, and don't get too fancy with the battery. I have three small boats that I can switch to when needed. In fact, it's so easy to set up, I don't leave my graph on the boat. The dry bag with the battery is stuffed in the bow storage here. Lately, I put it under the seat.

Do You REALLY Enjoy Fishing?
I've described it similarly. It's like you're outside of your own body. What did you play? Do you play at all anymore? My current instrument for the past 5 years, been playing for 40.

What’s the last rod/reel you purchased that you ended up regretting?
Sometime around '93 or '94 I bought a Curado Bantam. It was $10 more than the Citrica, and I did some major hemming and hawing over that $10. Minimum wage was like $3.50/hr back then. I ended up returning it, and going back to a Team Daiwa, which was $30 more at $120. The Curado just didn't turn my screws like my other Shimano reels.

Shimano Vanford 2000 or 2500 for drop shot
I gave up. Currently knitting some underwear for myself.

Daiwa Steez Limited and New Alphas
At least it's clear that Daiwa and Shimano are trying to sell reels.

Gear Ratio Help
I don't think you are overthinking it - reels are expensive. Something in the middle 6 range would be good for those. You can use it for a multitude of other baits if you don't like it.

Do You REALLY Enjoy Fishing?
I even like catching a stick fish over nothing.
