  1. That motor is from way before 2005. 1985 would be more believable. Isn't this info on the title?
  2. This video is loaded with great info, ideas, and tips. Keep a pen and paper handy to take notes!
  3. This is a really nice upgrade. I did exactly the same thing to my Calcuttas.
  4. Marsh or emergent vegetation?
  5. Bad boating is a YouTube rabbit hole I've been down several times.
  6. Call Mercury, and find out what you have before trying to do anything with it.
  7. 4 or 5 works for me. I could carry a dozen but it would be overkill. Most rods do quite a few things well. There's others that are one trick ponies, like a cranking stick. So, you really have to know you'll be using that specialist if you're gonna bring it. Otherwise, it's just in the way.
  8. It's hard to believe he was in the Spencer Davis Group.
  9. I think what's more interesting is Charlie's gear he used to fish the baits, and his method of playing the fish. It is 1000% the opposite of what I'd do, and what is often recommended here.
  10. 6^ I like this version of Valerie better. BTW, that is Hulk Hogan on the traps.
  11. The story behind the bait is that the creator actually had a bat land in his pool. Watching it struggle to get out, he thought it would be something a predatory fish would likely strike. It's not specifically designed for bass, but I think it appeals to them. I'm actually surprised I hadn't caught some northern pike with it. It seems right up their alley.
  12. The clear JJ's is a good base coat if you want better color on a dark bait. Let a coat of clear dry, them do chartreuse on a black bait and you'll see how it works like primer.
  13. Just a guy tryna save my thumbnails
  14. A hot July day with a steady drizzle, no air movement. Man, I can't think of anything better.
  15. Vienna sausage and a Genny Light.
  16. Get your squarebills, traps, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and anything else less than 3/4 of an ounce out and try them. Any of that and more will work fine with that stick.
  17. I mean six years later, rain is often a good time to be on the water, unless there's lightning.
  18. It's probably the goofiest bait I've ever caught a fish on. I agree with Clayton, black is what I used.
  19. I have 43 different sets of split ring pliers. For some reason I keep buying them, yet continue to use my thumb nail. ?
  20. Obviously you need the required safety gear. See the USGC site for a list. Additional useful items: wheel chocks, extra set of spark plugs and the tools to change them, prop wrench, extra cotter pin, a couple cans of Vienna sausage, wet wipes, heavy duty freezer bags, kneeling pad, extra bilge pump with long leads and alligator clips, small 1 L dry bag for phone, wallet, phone, keys, maglight, quality dock lines, and one 50' line.
  21. The question was slow rolling in shallower water. The larger tandem Colorado blades let you go slower in shallow water since there is more lift. Hope that helps. The main blade is like a soup spoon. None of my spinnerbaits are under 1/2 oz.
  22. Yes. It's a reissue. Also have a Crate Vintage Club 50w 1x12 with a hotwired head and Sovteks. Michelle plays a Les Paul through it. Jesse plays a Fender USA Custom through the AC30, but not before hitting around 30 effects pedals, lol. Have a listen if you want to hear the last release from my prog band: https://theconcussed.bandcamp.com/album/bodies-boats The last song, 5-6, is my favorite.
