Anyone use a kayak cart?
I have that cart, too. It's probably the worst thing I've used.

Maybe I could have worded that better, lmao.

You can get a nice pounding from any hull, lol. Ask @Tim Kelly about sitting on my balls while crossing Cayuga a couple years ago.

Pad hulls and mod-v offer better performance, less slap. I could always hear a tri-hull coming, with all the hull slap. They were a rough ride, at least any I'd been in.

Good Spook Bait
A Super Spook is around $7. Can't get a bait that good for much less.

drop shot help/question
Good stuff, Tom. The last sentence is key! Do what works. On Erie, there are guys using a modified Carolina rig, with some airline tubing to protect the line from zebra mussels. I simply won't C-rig, and the DS rig keeps the line that matters in good shape. Plus, on Lake Ontario, we've been getting green slime algae as deep as 25+ feet. The rig helps with that, too. There are lakes, a couple smaller Finger Lakes come to mind, where I'll go lighter, even down to a 1/4 oz. Those bass seem pickier about the weight on the bottom. Great Lakes bass are dumb, and eat anything. The tough part is finding them on a day when it's navigable.

Swim Bait vs Senko
That'll work great in the weeds.

You can probably find a box from someone other than 'Bird for a group 29, and modify it with connectors. Sears has a reasonably priced one.

First time buyer kayak
The Ride 115 fishes "bigger" than it's spec length, meaning, lots of room, storage, and tracks well.

What do you use
Straignt 6# Tatsu. One exception to this here: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/dropshot-bedding-bass.html

Does this look like a good spinning reel?
The only time I like a 40 size reel is when I'm setting up a spinning frog/heavy cover rig. I'll use 40# braid, and mount it on a heavier power inshore rod. I've set quite a few people up with this, and it works great for that application, but general bass fishing, the 30/35 recommendation with 8# mono or 30# braid is good.

Line curling
KVD L&L applied after every trip definitely reduces memory. You do want a bit of memory, otherwise, the line would fly off the spool! My advice would be to respool, treat with L&L, continuing with a couple spritz after each trip.

BOOYAH boo jig.
The correct price is around $3 for these. Any more than that, and I want a hand tied skirt instead of a rubber band job. Siebert makes a few good models. I like a Rage Chunk trailer most days. I also like Zoom Super Chunks.
