  1. Why not just get a moderate action graphite rod, made for cranks? I mean, if you bought a specific rod just for cranks, why would glass or graphite matter? Pick one, or both. I wouldn't use use my graphite cranking rods for anything other than cranks.
  2. Casting distance never figured in my decision to go graphite. It's light and sensitive, and works as well as any glass rod I've tried.
  3. Learn both. Also, fly reels and centrepin reels. They all have uses for me. That and I just enjoy learning ways to fish.
  4. Nice work fellas!
  5. Pre-nup - no reason to jump the gun, lol.
  6. Use a net.
  7. Slow and steady, or burn it with about a foot of your rod tip under water.
  8. You need no leader with Supercast and it floats.
  9. I don't like brad so much, but I do like no stretch, and I mean ZERO stretch. If you like that part, don't like the limpness of braid, take a look at Tuf-line Supercast. I did, and haven't looked back for top water. It's like it was made specifically for them.
  10. Frog/mouse or treble hook baits? You don't need much of a set for trebles, just start reeling and put pressure on it.
  11. Cake or death? I'll take cake. Oh, we just ran out of cake.
  12. Look up "prop slip calculator" and capture the required data, and you'll have a better idea of what pitch will work. No one solution even works perfect for all, and setup (height and setback) can change things too.
  13. It was probably a dink, or you waited too long to set the hook.theres no reason to wait, if froggy is gone, set hook.
  14. Black, smoke w/ purple flake, baby bass laminate.
  15. It was a bunch of dudes talking to each other. There were very few actual women registered.
  16. Who cares, they stand a better chance than if we all released them into hot grease. Seems like it's hard enough to figure what is getting them to bite without worrying what your neighbor is up to.
  17. Because your browser should.
  18. That isn't going to ever happen. If the frog is gone, set the hook. There's no seeing it in the fish's throat. Also, we all lose fish on every bait.
  19. Congrats bro!
  20. It's a rubber raft, a soup can filled with concrete and a length of bailing twine would work, lol.
