  1. Totally stock, though not out of the box. It's a couple seasons old in this vid. This is one of the slower ones. I kept the three fastest. It's all in HOW you clean the bearings.
  2. You aren't fishing enough. You can get lucky, or you can put the work in.
  3. Ohh boy, another thread where I can hurt some feelings, lol. Unless you are into having upgraded parts for the fun of it, or the OE part has failed, there's little point to replacing bearings. You want to throw lighter weights, get a lighter spool. Better drag, upgrade the washers. Lose some weight, get carbon fiber handle. Heck, bearing upgrades don't even look pretty like an anodized dress up part. There are a couple applications where a dry bearing setup is an advantage, but more for cold temps, not performance. But, in all, a bearing upgrade is fairly inexpensive, and for some, it's easier than cleaning the OE bearings.
  4. Whomever brings the $$$$!!! The reality is that my only sponsor is a company I would be using and paying retail for anyway. They are easy to recommend that way.
  5. Lol^ mine too. I think they're on to something here, though.
  6. Judging by the sheer volume of knot threads started hear, is say there's a huge business opportunity for such a device. Thing is, it has to work. Get the tool right, and it will sell.
  7. DVT is a sponsor and offers a discount. The link is on the right.
  8. It's funny, because whenever I see a dying little sunfish on the surface, nothing will touch it. In sure it will get bit despite that. Hopefully it hooks up as well as their frogs.
  9. Try flipping the shim inside the cast control cap.
  10. I use the curved back seat as well. I rarely sit on the seat part.
  11. Something like that would be useful for making heavy fluoro leaders. Looks faster than crimping.
  12. Awe man, I was up to three. I still have my Shiba inu, but the others are with the "right" families. My ex still has my bulldog. When it comes to aminals in need I can't say no.
  13. Kayak fishing can mean a broad range of mentalities in regards to gear, depending on who you ask. I'm by no means a minimalist, but I do keep it simple. I like 2-5 rods, a few Plano boxes, and a small speed bag of plastics. I roll with an anchor, a stakeout, and I do have graph with GPS and SI, though that doesn't always go with me. The trick is to bring just what you think you might need. No more, no less. Sometimes that's two rods, and basic safety gear. Other times, it's a lot more. It's all up to how you like to fish.
  14. They are deep, in the weeds. You'll know what I mean when you get there.
  15. Actually, I must be genetically inclined to resist this stuff. My numbers are better than most 20 something's.
  16. No anchor in current, unless you want to sink your boat. Use a stakeout pole on the slower, inside of bends.
  17. When I was limited to one reel, I bought an extra spool. One had 12# CXX, the other 50# Power Pro.
  18. Blade style really depends on your paddling style, after that, most paddles are pretty good. I use a full carbon Ergo Oracle by AT, which way out of your range, but that doesn't mean it's the right one for you. It's best to go to s paddle shop to get the right blade for your stroke. You might not even want a carbon shaft if you paddle hard.
  19. Nah, it's all good man.
  20. Those are pimp flip flops, Darren.
  21. Yes, and just about everywhere else has a "plate." They are disgusting. I won't touch it.
  22. Anyone see the ad with "the other KVD" on all fours? Hysterical, and a direct poke at the comp.
  23. Wow, my new ports were a few years old when the doc got them. I saw your new shoes in your report on the PB. Look good.
  24. No, that's a place called Maa's Diner, up the street from my family's place. It's not all burgers though. Here's a bacon chili cheese dog - Zweigle's natural casing Texas hot dog, BTW - from my fans place.
