  1. That graph can tell you whether your moving or not with no clear reference point above water. I fish shallow and deep. I've never felt like I had to have a power pole. But man when the graph poops out.... Well, it's gonna be a tough day.
  2. It doesn't "let go" but just floats and drives the line guide back and forth. If it doesn't do that anymore, then it should be replaced, not pushed down with some added parts.
  3. A power pole can't get you home in the fog.
  4. Don't burn it, the smoke is not to breathe if you're allergic. Roundup is generally what use. Kills all plants.
  5. Ever thumb a spool waiting for your bait to hit the bottom at 60'?
  6. I recommend a Tarpon 120, unless you must stand, in which a Ride 115 is the next best option. The Commander is always an uptown, unless you need it to self bail. I roll in a 140, and have paddled the 120. The 120 turns a bit easier though is almost as fast as a 140.
  7. Your line is too thick, or your reeling too fast. I don't know how in the world a jig like that can hang motionless and horizontal if tied properly. That defies physics.
  8. Take it apart, and put it back together carefully following the schematics.
  9. In my experience, video, photo, and short tips or reports are part of a quota detailed in your contract. It's not a "nice to have," but a requirement.
  10. Did any of those women get on the Internet to whine about the lights? Lol.
  11. Throw it out and buy a Lew's!
  12. Here we go again. You might as well title it the advantages of a screwdriver, and tell us all why it's better than a hammer. Baitcaster, level wind, conventional, spinning, mooching, centrepin, fly reel, etc., all have their place.
  13. Have you tried frogging with 20 lb. Braid? I bet you go back to bigger diameter line real quick. Digging, abrasion, shock resistance, and overall handling is better with 40+ lb. Braid.
  14. It's $850, no warranty, and weighs over 9 oz. I'll stick with my wobbly, flimsy CI4 reels, lol.

Yep, it's everyone else's fault! Can't be my fault! I'd rather sit and complain than try and change things via positive action.
  16. Great point. Pay rate can have a big effect, though.
  17. Dude, you need to get in the know!
  18. Exactly. This is the type of propaganda purported and spread as news in order to discredit tournament fishing.
  19. Also, it's a concern that your using the same battery for cranking and deep cycle purpose.
  20. With flows as high as they've been, a PFD would not have saved their lives. People underestimate the power of a dam.
  21. Yawn, even if it were the rate of one instance per week of it, it would have no bearing on whether I fish tournaments. It's such a non issue that guys that don't fish competitively make a huge deal out of.
