  1. Looks like we're done here, save for the last minute - last words. OP, yes others have had issue with the rods, just like others have had issues with every other brand out there.
  2. I just want to see a pic of the old girl.
  3. I'd be game for that.
  4. Daiwa Innercast, or something like that. A lot of Cabela's private label stuff is Daiwa.
  5. No, mostly it's just this thread. You can find haters for EVERY brand of you look hard enough. One of our former mods switched from Dobyns to Primarily Ducketts. He wasn't paid for it either. They work for him.
  6. I don't have too much problem with 6# Tatsu and InvisX on 2500 Shimano, 2000 Daiwa, and 30 series Pure Fishing reels. I think my Pinnacle Performa is a 30 size as well.
  7. If you have a problem with a product, raise that issue with the manufacturer. We aren't the venue for these issues. See the Forum Rules and FAQs for details.
  8. The Forum Rules and FAQS are pretty clear about what is allowed and what isn't. If you can't say what you typed to your mother's face, then delete it and walk away. Many post have removed, warnings and suspensions have been issued. Next action will be permanent banning. I can understand a kid getting smart, but grown adults slamming a kid, and other adults encouraging disrespectful behavior from a kid. That's not what this forum is about.
  9. I think heavier jigs may be a northern thing. For the most part, anything below 1/2 oz serves very little purpose.
  10. I think that about sums it up. We're not here to bash the seller or the buyer. We're here to learn about fishing. This has nothing to do with it. It doens't even belong in this category.
  11. Lake gods are hungry for sacrifices some days.
  12. That white Python color is a gateway drug.
  13. Lol, I put around 20 AA, BB, AB sized on my shot line for steelhead that weigh a lot more than bass. Line is rarely more than 8#. It's not going to hurt the 10-20# line we use for bass.
  14. Look up Mojo rig and split shot rig. There's your finesse Carolina Rig. Probably the only different thing I do is a jika rig for punching. I make them an ounce and up for punching.
  15. Bass Resource has a staunch position on game rules and regulations. If you think this is the place to come and brag about how you interfered or broke those laws, then you're mistaken.
  16. Why throw those valuable lures. Sometimes I wonder if I'd have enjoyed it more to run to my spot, whip out five rolls of quarters, and start making wishes, lol.
  17. I can barely feel a micro guide under my foot before crushing it with a my weight. But really, for casting rods, I don't think you really see the advantage until you use a spiral wrapped micro guide setup.
  18. The old angle vs. motion argument, lol. It's a good question, though. Some of the best big fish lakes around here get hit hard - like tournament every day. Other big fish lakes start out as a secret, and then seem to get played out quickly as more hit them. So, when is the ice gonna melt?
  19. Seems like a lot of time and energy spent not fishing.
  20. That is a huge problem. Those baits work way better if you can get them out of the box!
  21. It sounds like knot tying issues more than knot issues. Keep practicing.
  22. Fish them just like a spinnerbait.
