Ticonderoga Help!
That's the truth right there. It's weird, but once you get on them, it seems like all the fish in that lake are big.

Braid's Tag End
If anything, I fray it on leader connections as a sort of strike indicator. Other wise, no knot.

Quantum Baitcaster's Tolerances.
I'm not sure how space between the spool and the frame says anything about the tolerances. Are you saying this space is variable from reel to reel? If not, then that is just how it was designed.

Trouble With Improved Clinch Knot With Flurocarbon
Clinch is a type of knot, cinch is what you do to a knot. For what it's worth, wnybassman catches smallmouth that are lot bigger than what we all catch using Vanish and a clinch knot.

Trouble With Improved Clinch Knot With Flurocarbon
Changing the knot isn't going to fix it. You have to slow down, and only cinch from the tag end.

New Yum Dingers
I recall many squawking when LFP was discontinued for the F2 scent. Seems like much of the same. If they don't work, you can always go back to the original. We know they work!

If they are overpopulating the lake, there's a bigger issue than the dogfish…

Beaver/creature Vs Worms
I see creature/bever baits as "drop baits," as in drop in holes or gaps in cover. Worms to me are "penetration baits, and get through cover to deeply buried fish. Obviously, there is a TON of crossover.

Spinning Reel Size For Fc Line ?
LOL, you guys realize that that the Vandams are smallmouth fisherman, and Kevin's brother Randy holds the Ohio state record smallmouth, right? Preeeeeeeetty sure they know a thing or two about finesse fishing. I will wager a guess that Kevin's recommendation is built around preference and convenience. It's also a statement that may stem from what particular fluoro line he uses - not all are equal on light spinning gear.

Daiwa Diehard Might Have To Make A Change
I love the "moving parts" argument. It already moved!. All it does is twist backward when the spool is disengaged. I wonder if there were this many complaints when they moved from a lever on the frame to a thumbar? Or when they went to disengaging levelwinds - that extra idler gear will get you! Aside from some claims of worn out T-wing guides - of which not one picture of proof has been provided - they have the same track record as any other reels on the market. Some guys post negatively about them, others love them. As for the guts on the Daiwas...those are the same basic design on a cheap Procaster from 15 years ago to the last JDM Steez everyone loves. The newest reels vary only in the T-wing models. Think I'm kidding or exagerrating? open one up. Same goes for EVERY OTHER brand of reel. Much of the percieved quality has to do with frame components' material, fit and finish, and construction, as well as the gear set. There's huge differences in quality of frames, gears, and sideplates, but for the most part, the rest of the guts are the same old stuff.

Fluoro Line Twist On Spinning Reel....help
Sure you can. I've been doing it this way for years. Line comes off the spool straight, prefereably from bottom (to not opreserve any memory from the filler spool) reel puts a slight twist in the line. Casting off a lure peels line off spool, reversing that twist. Placing your spools face down or face up, and letting the line runn off the spool is a exercise in "maybe you got it, maybe you didn't." Take a look at a Shimano instruction manual for details on what I mean. At any rate, the "troll it out" solution gets you where you are with what I detailed above, so, if you have any twist issues, THAT'S YOUR SOLUTION. Good luck!
