  1. Well, it might bear out that this takes a long time, if I can't get it right first try, lol. I can't tie a good Alberto in 30 secs, so maybe that's my issue too.
  2. I'm not sure I understand your point?
  3. Judging by the number of these threads, enough that it's a more relevant issue than you think.
  4. It doesn't seem any more time consuming than an Alberto.
  5. Can't get the FG to stick with 50# braid and 12# CXX. I'd like this thing to work - it's easy to tie, easier than an Arberto.
  6. Hamburger…unless that means chorizo, sure.
  7. I get nothing when on plane, but I set it up that way.
  8. A Texas rigged worm would work well. Start with a light weight, like 1/8 oz, and work up from there.
  9. If it has beans, then you are disqualified.
  10. There's another knot that I'm working on that's even slimmer. FG knot. I'm not very good with it, but you might give it a try.
  11. I consider Mike a friend. He's really like that in person. He does however know a little more about fishing than he lets on, lol.
  12. There's a workaround: learn the Alberto.
  13. You could use your existing setup to back troll.
  14. You probably aren't going to have too much luck shortening the cables. Would be easier to coil the cable.
  15. I have two Avid ML/XF spinning rods, and they're as you describe. Avid X is the same SCIII bank.
  16. Not sure you'd combine these rigs. 59-65# braid for an umbrella, 15-17# heavy copoly with a C-rig. Fluoro is not my favorite with either.
  17. As promised, winter accumulation. I snuck some cymbal monkey stuff in the background - 15" hats. Don't drool on your keyboard, Weld's. Lol.
  18. I make the best chili.
  19. I don't think anyone is intentionally snapping rods to pay $75 to replace them.
  20. I pretty much am careful. Last few rods I broke snapped mid rod, on the hookset.
