Rage Tail Anoconda Vs Recon
The Annie is more of an eel type bait. It swims a little better than the Recon. I like it Rage rigged or as different look to creatures when punching heavy weeds. The Recon is more your traditional Texas rig worm - light, sliding bullet weight, hop it through weeds, dead stick it. The ringworm style has a big profile, but allows you use a standard worm hook. I'd say I use the Recon more often than the Anaconda, but that's just because of where I like to fish. Here's a little dink from last fall, caught on a Recon.

Gut Hooked Fish
The question gets asked so much, the link to the solution is in our Forum Rules and FAQs. In fact, the same question is in the "new posts" list twice today. Definitely get that hook out. The link provided shows pretty much a fool proof way to do it. The main thing, do it quickly. You don't want to keep the fish out of the water too long - that's more deadly than the hook. If you need to put the fish in a bucket or livewell for a few minutes while you try to gather the tools, that's okay, too. I've even waited until just before weigh in to remove the hook.

Food For Thought
A maintenance section isn't a bad idea, but neither were the ideas for the food board, bank fishing board, brand specific boards. The problem is having enough posts to support it's own board. Stickies often get ignored. Most members use the "new content" link. Maintenance is and evolving topic, and it's probably best just to post specific questions. There are also articles on the topic in our articles section: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing-gear-tips/

Just Because Of Cabin Fever
Trick question! All your jigs are 207.2, or lead's atomic weight. You fools are all answering with various mass. Ha! I win! Obviously, it's winter here, too.

Silica Gel Desiccant In Planos
With the holes, I don't worry whether the baits are wet or not. Haven't had a single rust issue since I put them there.

Whats The Life Of Fluorocarbon?
One season = a year when it freezes over for a few months. This spring it will be four years old.

10# Vs 20# Braid -- Noticeable Differences For Finesse And Wacky?
I don't go over 6# diameter on a spinning reel that size. Invisx or Tatsu are what I prefer.

10# Vs 20# Braid -- Noticeable Differences For Finesse And Wacky?
Honestly, if you're worried about maximizing slack line sensitivity, I'd be looking at running straight 6 or 8# fluoro. Fluoro is more dense than braid, and transmits bites through the rod on a slack line better than braid.

Stuck Screw
Do you have a solder gun? You can try a little (*I stress "a little"!*) heat to loosen the threads.

P-Line Flouroclear Vs Seaguar Red Label
I haven't tried the Red Label yet, but Fluoroclear may be the single worst line I've used yet. I hate posting negatively about it, because I like just about every other product P-Line makes, especially their CXX.

Silica Gel Desiccant In Planos
I actually used my solder gun to make the holes - less mess. I'll try to get a pic up.

Silica Gel Desiccant In Planos
All over. It's about air flow, and not trapping water in the boxes. Aaron Martens gave me the idea a few years ago. Most guys that see them think I'm nuts. They say that it lets the rain water in. That's not the point....your baits get wet anyway.

Silica Gel Desiccant In Planos
I haven't had an issue with moisture since I started using the planos with holes in them. Works so well, I put holes in all my old boxes.

Whats The Life Of Fluorocarbon?
I've got fluoro that is three seasons old on one of my spinning reels. While that is extreme, it's just a test in progress.

Do You Consider Swimbaits Search Baits?
Not in a traditional sense....But big swimbaits have revealed the location of many big bass for me. Often the fish will follow, and I seal the deal with something else. Big, floating, or super slow sink baits are good for this.

How Do You Catch A Bass That Follows Your Boat?
If you know where it is, stay far away, make long casts, and use a big bait.

Frugal Fishing
I spent VERY little on fishing last year. Stay local, pack a lunch (and dinner if necessary), plan your fishing path instead of running and gunning willy-nilly around the lake, use what you have. When you need to buy new tackle, buy quality stuff, and when it's on sale, but don't buy new stuff just because it's reduced. That's my Achilles heel, lol.

Turn This Into Bass Boat? Please Help?
I don't want to sound discouraging…It'll never be what you want it to be. I wouldn't bother with trying to fish off the front. You could put a transom mount trolling motor on it, a fish finder, and use it as is.

Co-Angler Questions
I only fish team format tournaments. Boater/non boater issues are VERY rare in this format, since you are working together.
