  1. I was 90% sure. Thanks!
  2. There's plenty of domestic tackle manufacturers and custom rod makers. Delaware Valley Tackle, Siebert Outdoors, Megastrike, Northstar Custom Tackle, are just a few that sponsor this website.
  3. Nothing indicates the rods and reels are made in the US. Hooks yes, but not rods and reels.
  4. It should be covered under Abu's warranty. The DSG thing is replacement insurance, not manufacturer's warranty. http://www.abugarcia.com/support/warranties
  5. So, fan cast, and keep moving until you run into a few. Pond fishing is all about covering ground.
  6. Yumbrella Rig Jr. and Picasso School-e rig are two I'm using. I use 3" Keitech Swing Impace Fat on 1/16 oz. Keitech ballhead jigs. I also use the Buckeye J-Will jigs on heavier rigs. Another combination that works well are 5" Kalin's grubs.
  7. I don't see anything that indicates they are Made in the USA. Can you provide some reference? So, the US citizens employed by them don't count?
  8. I prefer 15 or 20 over 10 lb. for finesse. 10 is too thin for my liking.
  9. I generally ONLY use albino, irrespective of water clarity. I fish very close to the surface, though.
  10. I have a JWR803 and I love the thing. Caught many a big jig bass on it. Mine is currently paired with a Daiwa TD-X103HSDL pitching reel spooled with 50# Kanzen.
  11. I've sen it 1st hand, a couple drops in the holding tank, and the fish go nuts.
  12. LOL, I have one.... Edgar:
  13. Rejuvenade will make your fish go crazy in the livewell. Not good for holding fish. Might rescue a dying fish, but makes them too hyper. You want to calm them down, and protect their slime coat. Catch and release, or please release me.
  14. It didn't used to be like that - lots of videos and stuff. Looks like it's under redesign.
  15. I'd more interested in companies that actually employed US citizens, and contributed to the local economy. "Made in the USA" ...? By who or what? Assembled by robots doesn't mean jobs. That Saint Croix still assembles rods here is pretty cool - they employ US skilled labor. Shimano, Daiwa, Pure Fishing, etc. all have a US presence, not just in the market, but also employ many people as well.
  16. Sure Life Catch and Release is what I've used for years. Great stuff.
  17. Add this to your list, been holding up well in it's 3rd season: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/pinnacle-DHC5-performa-review.html
  18. That's gotta be over 6. Probably closer to 8.
  19. Use a Uni knot, and your slippage troubles will disappear.
  20. In case anyone is worried about knots....Tatsu holds an improved cinch knot just fine. Well enough, that I use it to quickly retie spinnerbaits in last Saturday's tournamament. We came in 3rd. .29 lbs. out of the lead. The only break offs were from pickerel.

What you did was post your cell number for anyone with an internet connection to see and try to use to their advantage. Establish contact via the forum's Personal Message system, and exchange info securely and privately. I will go ahead and remove your phone number from your Flea Market posting.

    PM me the member's name.
  23. I use a custom Saint Croix 4C79HF, which is the Legend Tournament Bass blank for the LTBC79HF Swimbait rod. It's perfect for those 1-4 oz. baits.
  24. Brett, down the road is where you'll see the difference. Or, won't feel any slop is more like it. As that plastic bush wears, the crankshaft gets a little sloppy. With the bearing, it wont. Good move upgrading.
