  1. Leave that to Daiwa! http://www.daiwa.com/reel/detail.aspx?id=607
  2. If they are deep, use a slip float with a bobber stop. Set it to the depth you want your bait to sit. Watch that stop! If it stops dead before hitting the float, SET THE HOOK!
  3. It's no sweat! It happens with breaking news. Takes two clicks to merge the threads.
  4. 4K

There were two or three I liked.
  5. I was unaware he could run on water...let alone bite a buzzbait.
  6. Sharp looking reel. Though, I can't think of a single time I've needed more than 30 or so IPT. It's getting a little silly.
  7. Half a dozen Slim Shad, in the same spot, and I KNEW they were pike. Wasn't getting bit with leaders - probably a depth or action thing - but catching a few 8 lb.+ fish. Expensive, and a little dumb, but lots of fun.
  8. For get the DS weight, tie a split ring below an upside down bullet weight, bro.
  9. Actually, it's probably similar to the pee-pee dance you did after catching that thing. Nice work, bro!
  10. Why didn't I think of that? Perfect solution!
  11. They will, occasionally, but we pour our own. What you can do is put single overhand knot at the bottom of your tag end as a stopper. You can also squeeze the crimp with pliers tighter if it pulls through too easy.
  12. Phht, jig fish don't count, lol.
  13. You don't tie any knot, just slip the line through, and pull the link into the crimp. We're talking about the same thing, right?
  14. So you can pull a hung up weight without losing the rig, and also to adjust the dropper length on the fly.
  15. I use Smugmug, but it's a pay site. It's pretty easy to to upload to the site, and get links to use here. I also use Facebook, but I have to use the PC to get the image link.
  16. I upload them to photohosting website, and use the links to the resized images from there. There's a bunch of free ones, just do a quick internet search.
  17. Most likely a bedding fish. Not unusual, considering they are just defending the nest.
  18. Any 6-7' medium/fast rod will toss 4 and 5" Senkos with ease. I will recommend using a Bill M wacky rig tool, or similar, since genuine Senkos will tear on the back cast, especially with an underhand roll/skip cast.
  19. Daytime or night time fishing can make a difference, too. Not a big deal for a big "plop" entry at night, regardless of clarity. Many times, my spook or mini slammer has been hammered on just after touchdown.
  20. Every pond I've fished, there's a dude there that claims his buddy caught a ten pounder out it last year.
  21. My thoughts on this, and it's not 100% true all the time: Stained, algae bloom, or muddy water: a splash or skipping entry can draw attention. Clear water: a stealthy "bloop" or gentle skip works better than a loud entry, which often startles fish, especially pressured, shallow dwelling fish.
  22. It's a lot of work to keep him mentally stimulated, but he's VERY loyal, and NO ONE dares break in my house.
  23. Optima also makes group 27 and 31 batteries.
  24. Do they still make GL3 anymore?
  25. Sounds like big swimbait weather to me.....
