  2. They are currently having a outage at the power plant. The water is cooling off more than normal. The key to catching the bigger fish on the hot side is fishing off shore old road beds, bridges etc.. If you are going in late Feb. there may be some sight fishing also.
  3. Just got word from Bob Petty that they are not having the show this year due to renovations of the fire hall.
  4. Does anyone know if they are having this again this year? It is usually in late Jan early Feb. Also if so anyone knows how to get in touch with Bob Petty let me so I can get a table to sell so stuff. Thanks for any help.
  5. I don't own a IMX but I own several Avids. The Avids are great rods light and sensitive. I have the 6'M,6'3 MXF,6'6M and the 6'8MXF. The rods seem to be a little stronger than they are rated for. For me the 6'6 M is a great all purpose rod. What type of fishing will you be doing with the rod?
  6. Thanks for the heads up on the BPS flyer. I am trying to gather some info on the unit before I get one. I hope they have some left at the BPS in VA.
  7. Is there any difference in the 520c and the 522c besides the 522 having a internal GPS? Also I have heard that the internal system GPS untis lose there signal if not mounted upright. Anybody own one? I would like to put one on the bow but am concerned about it losing the signal if I lean it back to see the graph. I am a GPS newbie so I think the 522 would be easier to install. Thanks for any help. Wish I lived near a Academy Sports as I heard they were have them on sale for $399 or if someone wants to help me out shoot me a message

  17. Was going to use Hope Springs or Leesylvania. Didn't know that they had went up in launch fees. Just wondering which area was doing better on the south end or north. Have a smaller aluminium boat so I can't make the long runs. Put in at Hope Springs can fish Aquia,Arkendale and Potomac creek or Leeyslvania can fish Mattawomen,Powels and Chicamuxen.

  23. I plan on going to Buggs/Gaston on March 29/30. Was looking for a little general information on what to do(prespawn?),what to expect or areas/lures. Have been to Gaston once and Buggs once(level was 310!). My plan was to fish docks on Gaston(jigs) but there are so many or just pick a creek and stay in there to figure it out. On Buggs I am lost my thoughts were Grassy, Nutbush or Clarksville area. This place is so big I don't have a clue plus I guess I will have to wait and see about the water level. Thanks for any tips. I can help with info on Anna if necessary. Or if anyone wants to go down or ever needs a partner/backseater let me know.
  24. I have caught stripers at the Rt1? bridge in Fredricksburg in April when the shad/herring run is going on. Also have caught some smaller ones around Hicks landing in summer while bass fishing.
