  5. It's an older series not in the current line up. Might have been an offshore rod.
  6. Since your having a problem I would suggest you try with all brakes on. Adjust the cast control to slowly dropping & set the dial control to the middle. See how that does. If that works fine continue by removing only one brake at a time & retry. Once your happy with the results leave the brakes where you had the best distance without trouble & forget about them. You should not have to set the brakes again. Now try adjusting only the dial control one number at a time until you max everything out distance & control wise. The only thing you will need to adjust is the cast control as you change baits with different weights. Once I have a reel dialed in I leave everything alone except adjusting the cast control knob for lure weight changes.

  8. Rest & heal quickly.
  9. It’s stiffer than a med heavy moderate. My initial thoughts was it was too fast but it loads well with a bigger bait. The smallest bait I have used with it probably weighed 3/4 oz. it handled numerous fish with out any pull offs up to 8.5 lbs.
  10. Regular life jackets are all automatic aren’t they?
  11. It was built as a casting rod. It was great to use as it handled everything I threw on it. No problems with the ferrules.
  12. Beauty. thanks for the extra pic. I'm still guessing 24" x19.2"

  14. PB’s are always sweet. Congrats.
  15. I think the versatility of a medium heavy moderate rod is worth the expense. You can use it for jerkbaits, topwater & crankbaits. Some guys like it for bladed jigs as well. The moderate action rod helps keep trebles from pulling out & helps with jumping fish not pulling off if you keep pressure on them.
  16. Sure it is. Post up a picture & we can give you an estimated length or pick your own length based on your best guess. Then you can plug the length into a formula with different girths coming up with actual fishes weight. Your fish was probably 22" to 26" long and had a girth of 17 to 21" in order to weigh 9.5 lbs. The longer the fish the less the girth & the shorter the fish the greater the girth to reach 9.5lbs. Here are a couple of charts & formulas. http://legacy.myfwc.com/fish/ https://tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/fish/recreational/catchrelease/bass_length_weight.phtml If your talking about the fish in your avatar I would guess its 24" by 19" plus fractions.
  17. I fish the Rogues straight out of the package. Some models come with gammys but the majority come with eagle claws I think because they point inwardly. I always test the hook points and they have always been sticky sharp. I do replace them one bait at a time as needed with owner stinger trebles ST-36BC & STY-35MF short shank. I usually replace the split rings at the same time.
  18. I thought he got a new dog.

  20. You have a minor addiction. I have never counted mine but I have a minimum of 300 to 400 jerkbaits. I carry a minimum of 15-18 jerkbait boxes in my boat. For under $15 price point you can pick from Rapala, Smithwick, KVD, Rebel, Bagley, Duo Realis. Ima, Storm, Spro,Yo-Zuri, Bomber, some Lucky Craft and the list goes on. My favorites are Rapala, Smithwick, Ima, Duo Realis & LC with honorable mention to Rebel.
  21. I bought some bulk spools of the original PRT braid to use on line counters for trolling numerous years ago. It has held up fine, good quality. It was originally used more in saltwater than fresh.
