  1. New PB's are always sweet. Congrats.
  2. On paper the Cubs have a superior team. Cleveland has a blue collar team of players that are very unselfish without any egos getting in the way. They play with a lot of passion & confidence. It should be a great series.
  3. For sure one teams curse will be broken!
  4. Not according to the Cleveland Browns. Go tribe.
  5. Best of luck with your surgery.
  6. You are right & they were beaten soundly. Go tribe!
  7. Cleveland's wins it with a rookie starter. We are going to the World Series.
  8. Several choices: slick silver blue helsinki ghost moss back shiner
  9. You will like it here. Welcome.
  10. Some good already mentioned. I really like the Ima Flit made as a suspender & they also have a floating version for shallow applications. Killer bait if you have never tried one.
  11. Indians lose their starter in the first inning and the bullpen wins it. Wow!
  12. 2lb range is a good guess maybe 2.25.
  13. Bass migration in the northern waters almost always happens within 10 days of the fall equinox per the In Fisherman. That supports the light level Paul just mentioned. On the great lakes that seems to be about right for the smallies to start moving from deep to shallow.
  14. I keep thinking the most fun matchup will be the Cubs & the Indians. Chicago hasn't won a world series since 1908 & Cleveland hasn't won one since 1948 the year i was born. Either way one of those long losing streaks would be broken.
  15. Can't paint a picture without the canvas!
  16. I landed a 6lb largemouth that broke off my buddy earlier in the day. I was fishing a spinner bait slow rolling it on the bottom. His broken braid got wrapped on the spinner blade clevis. Imagine my surprise when I was landing the fish on the bank of a pond & saw my spinner bait without a fish hooked up on the bait's hook.
  17. So far the ALCS has been pretty entertaining especially for Cleveland fans. Go tribe.
  18. PA August is the toughest month forme on Erie as the fish are very deep.
  19. Retirement fishing is easy. You get to pick your agenda rather than have it dictated to you. I go as often as I want but I still have to listen to mother nature for the wind/wave report before I can commit. I avoid weekends & crowds 99% of the time. You won't burnout as long as you go when you want & not if you don't as Wayne P. suggested. Just keep fishing fun & the rest falls into place. I moved close to lake erie after I retired so I could fish as much as I want for smallies.
  20. Yep gotta love those steelies.
  21. Don't feel bad I had a similar experience when I was holding a 5lb smallie over the side attaced to my Boga grip scale. A hardy shake loosened my grip and the bass swam a away with my $110 Boga. That hurt me worse than the missing bass. It is possible the bass rubbed a hole in his jaw on the bottom to lose the gripper /scale.
  22. Welcome aboard.
  23. Welcome aboard Dylan.
