  1. Welcome aboard.
  2. If you find it send to him. http://www.delawarevalleytackle.com/
  3. Very healthy fish coming out of there. The balance between prey & predator must be perfect.
  4. You need to step up your game & only attract the bigger ones. These are lot's of fun.
  5. My favorites on Erie are green oikawa, sexy pink 2, prism clown & natural wakasugi.
  6. I was slow rolling a spinner bait while fishing a pond from shore in the late afternoon when I felt a bite. After a brief struggle I got the fish close to the bank. As I tried to lift the fish towards the shore I saw my spinner bait but no fish but I still felt the fish struggling. I continued to lift & up comes the fish. I'm puzzled because the fish is about 2-3 feet behind my spinner bait. As I reach down to lip the bass I see some braid attached to my spinnerbait. My buddy had hooked a fish in the morning and it broke off half way in the shore. He was using a T-rigged creature bait. The bait was still in the fishes mouth with a section of braid trailing. My spinner bait had the braid wrapped around the clevis of the blade. I thanked my buddy for breaking off a nice 6lb bass which allowed me to catch it and then gave him back his hook & bait.
  7. Congrats. She is a toad. I would not worry about a vertical hold on bass. There is no evidence suggesting that it causes any harm like it does to some other fish species.
  8. Buy the new motor & be done with it. No more problems & double the horsepower.
  9. Creme worm was prerigged with a front spinner.
  10. The blank warranty is the same on a custom rod as a factory rod regarding defects. The labor charges for the new build would be up to the builder. Most quality builders stress test the blank before building to make sure the blank is good.
  11. Congrats on your new PB.
  12. Welcome aboard Austin.
  13. I prefer looking/listening to Sheli much more than Marty.
  14. Best largemouth is 11lb-2oz caught in Florida. Best smallmouth is 7lb-6oz caught in Pa waters of Lake Erie.
  15. I'm happy for you.
  16. Good list for your waters Chris. My list for lake Erie. 1. Wind direction & speed. If the wind is blowing from the east, north or west at more than 10-15 mph I'm probably not going. An offshore wind will allow me to go until it gets over 20-25 mph. 2. Water turbidity. If the water is dirty from recent storms & high winds I'm probably not going. I feel I need at least a foot or two of visibility to have a chance for a good day on the water. 3. Water temp. I prefer fishing prespawn for the big girls so I'm looking for water temps from 40-60 degrees in the spring & 65 degrees or lower in the fall which will bring the smallies more shallow than mid summer haunts in deep water. 4. General weather forecast. If thunder storms are in the forecast I'll either go or not depending on how much time might be available to fish before the storm. These are the only elements I consider because the rest can be dealt with as part of normal fishing conditions.
  17. I'm feeling better already Hootie.
  18. FT does the job. Nice bass.
  19. A couple of stout spots.
  20. Nice perch. I catch big perch in the spring on 4-6" jerkbaits. It always amazes me.
  21. Seaguar tatsu is the best I have found. I don't dwell on the worst.
  22. That brought a smile to my face.
