I use snaps & take all lures off with trebles. Same thing for the rod locker in the boat. Lesson learned.

You might get away with it on a domestic flight but better be safe & put all hooks in checked baggage. On international flights you have to check all hooks.

When I fish with South Fla, aka Robert we sometimes both fish in the bow while he runs the trolling motor. I only fish between 6 & 12 leaving him 12: 01 to 5:59 or I fish the left side while he fishes the right side. We are fishing shoulder to shoulder. The idea is not to cross the the other guys line or the space he needs for an overhead hook set.

Casting over someone is creating possible interference with their ability to retrieve their bait or get a good hook set. It can also be described as casting into their space. I have a few buddies who will do this to me and I will return the favor. But I would not cast over someone who is not a friend.

I fished with a guy, resident of Canada who had the same idea. But he put all his baits in the amno can loose. They were bigger baits for pike. & lake trout but all intertwined. He would pull a big mess of baits out & shake it till they started to separate. Took a while till the bait he wanted to shake loose.

Try it with a hair jig on the bottom instead of the traditional weight.

I am on my third 4 runner & have used them for towing a 18' boat & my current boat a 20' . Totally adequate for towing.

It doesn't get any better than that.

For largemouth Texas wins hands down. For smallmouth the PA waters of Lake Erie does not take a back seat to anyone. Last year I kept track of smallies over 5 lbs caught from my boat for three prime months of April, May & October. Sixty smallies over five lbs hit the net. Eight smallies over six lbs up to 6lb-15oz. All caught on jerkbaits. No live bait. And to top it off a Michigan boy named A-Jay contributed extensively to those numbers over a two week period.
