  1. Fished the Potomac on Saturday, no Shad caught, but I did see a couple jumping. This rain should bring em up
  2. Saw his show the first time last weekend. I had to change the channel because I wanted to hang myself
  3. Good question jerk bait junkie!! I been wondering the same thing. Have always been a spinning guy, but got a bait-caster last fall and been practicing in my driveway. Now I have an idea of how much practice I need, which is a LOT ;D
  4. Welcome aboard JonnyBoy! Always nice to have another Virginian in the forum
  5. Thanks Glenn, I am always learning something new from your site
  6. Agree Spro Bronzeye frog
  7. I use a lip-less crank bait such as a rattle trap style lure, something with a narrow profile, but large vertical body, in medium to heavy river current as it gets down deep quick. On the other hand if the river is shallow a floating lipped crank bait seems to stay just under the top of the water right where I like. Never tried the lip less cranks in a lake...
  8. Been looking for a video on this technique online, but cant find one... A couple other sites said they prefer a shorter length rod as it makes the lure placement more accurate when doing a roll cast. Is this true?
  9. I'm REALLY good at telling stupid jokes... such as What do you call a deer with only one eye? Give up? I have no eye deer Get it?
  10. Thats really thinking outside the box Catt, good idea
  11. Awsome catches!!! I can't wait to get out there, looks like your starting the year off the right way. Cabin fever is about to move on down the road
  12. That makes perfect sense to me Eddie! Thanks for that post

  14. If the female is still on the nest, they are weak from not eating so I will give em a break and fish for something else until they move off the nest
  15. Throwin corn is what I learned growing up fishing with hillbillies ;D Don't know anything about fishing with roe, will have to google it
