  1. are the O-rings small enough to use on the 4in *** from *?
  2. Or add a zoom "tiny"brush hog as the trailor. The tiny brushhog worked very well, caught several on it on Monday
  3. I wish I could be out in my regular gear but it has been 40-50 degrees for about a month and raining cats and dogs. We have only had about 1 week of 60+ degree weather here all year. I am surprised I am even catching fish. Most our water is still 55-60 degrees. Keep those reels tight! x2 here in Southern Idaho.
  4. Nice fish. I just got my first baits from * yesterday, and I am excited to get out and try them. I hope to go tommorrow if the wind will die down some.
  5. The tiny brush hog sounds like a good idea to me, I have a good variety of them. I will try it out next week if the wind will die down. I have the next 3 weeks for fishing. Don't you just love vacation time?!
  6. I wish I had problems with keeping crappie off of it. My nearest crappie lake is 2 hours away.
  7. You would have to add wieght in order to flip them. They have almost no wieght. No lead in them, the head is made out of some light material.
  8. NO KIDDING! I think someone forgot to tell mother nature that it is JUNE! We have been having quite the weather this year. I haven't been able to fish this year near as much as I have in the past.
  9. added the pics and a link above.
  10. Went this AM and did well. It was raining and wind was blowing pretty good. Found a spot out of the wind and caught quite a few. I took someone from work that has been wanting to go bass fishing. He mainly fly fishes for trout. We each caught 15-20 smallies each. I taught him how to drop shot, and he really had fun. This is a pic of the biggest we caught, but caught several like it.
  11. I have 2 places that I do most of my fishing. One of them I am more productive with soft plastics, the other one is more productive with hard plastics.
  12. I have dumped ice and drinks in mine too. Pull the plug to drain the melted ice after the day is over.
  13. I will pull some out of the boat and get a picture to post, right now the cover is on and it is raining. they are small and light enough you can't cast them by themselves. There is a small hole through the head that the tag end of your line goes through to attach the wieght.
  14. I was wondering if anyone has used them and had success. I bought some a couple of years ago and have used them very little. I have not caught anything on them. Has anyone caught fish on them? here is a link http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp;jsessionid=2S0UHNFZU111RLAQBBJSCOFMCAEFIIWE?type=product&id=0023723118719a&rid=0180101070502&cmCat=perf&cm_ven=performics&cm_cat=yahoo_non_brand&cm_pla=fish_jig_bass&cm_ite=dropshot%20jig&OVMTC=standard&OVKEY=dropshot%20jig&OVADID=7157002022&OVKWID=73855067522&OVRAW=dropshot%20jigs&_requestid=120647 and a pic
  15. I work 7 on and 7 off, it works out great for fishing. I can be out fishing in the middle of the week while most are working.
  16. We do pretty good with 3in grubs tipped with part of a night crawler jigged on the bottom VERY slowly as we drift along. The small reservoir I fish we do good with cotton candy color.
  17. The last insurance company I was with refused to cover my boat because they said the motor was too big for the boat. 150hp, 18 ft bass boat. My new insurance (Farm Bureau) had no problem at all covering it.
  18. The only time I use my front livewell is when I am catching Crappie or perch. I friend of mine who fishes tournaments told me that on rough days the fish in the front livewell take a beating and will sometimes die, while the ones in the back livewell fair pretty good.
  19. Nice walleyes both of you. And I have to agree with the rest that it does not look like a 12 lb walleye, I catch them here in Idaho. That other one is huge, and I would say looks more like a 12 lber. Might need a new scale.
  20. I remember back when I was a young kid catfishing on the Red River on the border of Arkansas and Texas and hooking an eel. My dad was reeling it in and it did a flying leap through the air, and I wasted no time running up the bank to get away from it as fast as I could. I did not want to be any where close when it got reeled in. It came off in that leap.
  21. Bill Dance and Roland Martin. It would not matter where. I grew up watching them on TV and would love a chance to fish them. Anyone see the episode of Deal or No Deal with Roland Martin? I would have hit the deal button so fast they would've needed a highspeed camera to catch it. A new bass boat and a fishing trip to Florida with Roland Martin. How does someone pass that up?
  22. I was DSing around some rock piles one day last year and caught a 21 lb carp. what a fight and what a surprise. it is kinda fun to catch something different on the DS once in awhile.
  23. I had some success a couple of years ago one day on some smallies, it was the best fun ever! But sad to say I haven't caught any on top water since, and I WANT TO! water temp here right now is 56 degrees.
  24. The Bait Monkey got me the other day online shopping at BPS.
  25. Nice fish, I love the smallmouths.
