That is a fine fish. I don't know though about the methods of just setting the hook and then reeling away until the fish is at the boat. With the big rod and the heavy line to throw the big swim bait....sounds more like salt water fishing to me. I enjoy giving the fish a bit of a chance with modest line/rod weights and the sport and skill of playing the fish, adjusting drag, back reeling etc. Sometimes you win, sometimes the fish wins. This swim bait style of setting the hook and dragging them in......I don't know. I watched the videos on the Huddleston website of the fellow catching those 15-19lb bass on the swim baits. Looked like he was fishing for Tuna or something. Maybe I will try some of the smaller swims to see if I can use my regular set up and techniques with them. you can try that but u may be dissapointed with a big fish and a big bait playing the fish is just not an option i learned that the hard way, if they jump or shake their heads u can usaully just say goodbye to that fish

I like football head jigs over most jigs just because of personal preference but i drag them, i hop them, i twitch, shake them, pitch, and swim them i do about everything i can with them and they produce for me try out different things and you will see results

lol all this stuff has happened to me when i caught my PB of 10.2 pounds i just had to use the bass calculator with 26 1/2 length and 18 girth because i forgot my scale lol and when i caught my 9 pounder i forgot my camera but i brought my scale lol so i was going back to the dock to ask my dad if he had his which he didnt of course, and then i see this random guy and ask him if he could snag some pics with his camera phone which he did and he sent them to my email, the picture quality blowed but i still got some pictures at least and i thank that guy alot lol but even he wasnt there i would still have the memory of catching that hog

I just ordered some of these because i like the creatures and basically everything made by yamamato is like beast lol, I was thinking about using them as jig trailers because i like a beefy jig trailer anyone had any success with these as trailers or t rign them ? Thanks

So me hudson and trey and one of our other friends who fishes decided to take a trip down to our favorite lake today and it was a blast. We decided to have a mini tournament with me and castamasta vs trey and friend. So we leave at 6 get there around 640 and immediately start jigging off the dock (it was crazy) First Fish on was by hudson it was a solid 5 pounder that he lost right at the dock > Then trey lands the first fish of the day a little dink And then trey lands another fish on his jig a solid 3 pound 4 ouncer And then after that trey verticaly jigs and just drops it straight down and gets an enourmous fish on and about 8 seconds later after pulling straight down under the dock he loses it Then i hook into my first bass with a jig and land a solid 2 pound 12 ouncer And then the best of the day castamasta hooks into this enourmous pig weighing 6 12 it was an awesome fight And 30 mins later im swiming a jig and i hook into a 4 pound 4 ouncer and land him so me and hudsons net weight is 13 pounds 12 ounces, and thats how it ends up to bec after that the bite was gone trey managed to catch a 4 8 and a 2 pounder after that but it wasnt enough to take down me and hudson VICTORY hahah ;D Fun Day 6 12 Again Belly Shot MY 4 4

they are top quality baits and im tired of cat ching small bass, im only fishing for big bass now not numbers so if i dont catch any one day its no big deal bec catching a big bass to me is so much more satisfying, and these lures are big bass catchers baby

it only took 3 days i think for mine to come in i was very satisfyed

Well i just ordered my first swimbaits a few days ago from mattlures and i got 2 of the bluegills. When i first got them i was so stoked bec these things looked absolutely amazing, and i couldnt wait to use them. I decided that when i got to my favorite lake that i wouldnt use any other bait untill i caught a swimbait fish, and im glad i did. Ok but lets get to the day So when i got there it was raining hard so i was chillin with trey and another friend waiting for the rain to pass, when it finnaly passed i started casting out and varying my return speeds, and i would say on about my tenth cast my bait gets really heavy, and my rod starts to bend over so i set the hook hard...and Fish on i start realing it in and it jumps outa the water, it was priceless the fish was enourmous i think it could be an easy 9 probly a DD, and in midair it spits the swimbait out :'( i was so disapointed, but still determined, so after another 15 mins in that spot i move on to my favorite spot i throw it about 20 times this time and when im about 10-15 feet off shore right in front of the weedline i see something brown following my swimbait and then all the sudden my rod doubles over and fish on, this time it was hooked solid it jumped 2-3 times and everything and still stayed on, I yell to trey to help me out and he runs over hops in the water and pulls my Pig out for me (thanks trey ) I whip out the scale and snag some pics of my first ever swimbait fish. It was a solid 5 1/2 pounder it was such a CHUB haha. Then 45 mins later i go back to my spot where i missed the beast and about 15-20 cast later my bait gets heavy again, i set the hook hard and start reeling and then all the sudden i keep reeling and everything feels light, and i see just a weighted hook pop outa the water :'( my swimbait is gone! a huge bass ripped it right off, the hook had a big tear around it and i guess it just got pulled right through, It was really disapointing, but i still had an awesome day i will never forget, I cant wait for my next outing with swimbaits Pics And the Release

lol im almost oppostie i like fishing poewrbaits such as cranks with my spinning rod because i feel i can cast farther, start the retreive sooner, and i prefer the reel that is farther out when reeling faster but that is just imo and i like baitcaster for spinners, senkos, jigs heavy stuff besides that except cranks ;D

i bougth the berkly one today and tested it on a 10 pound weight and it was an ounce off, i am very happy with it thanks guys

if you already got ur lighter color i highly recomend getting a black/blue laminate or black/with blue flecks black and blue are dinamite

use a jig and pig or a senko and just deadstick it once u get 5 feet away from it and just twitch the hell outa it ull get that tap tap trust me main tip though just annoy the hell outa that bass untill he gets so ticked off he anihilates ur bait
