  6. ok so they just came and they look great and im going to try them out this weekend. I got black/blue in 3/8 green pumpkin 3/8 and blue/purple/black in 7/16 and pbandj 5/16 im used to 3/8 weight, only because thats all i ever used and the lighter ones are "finess" models so when would u use finess over the heavier ones and do u work them differently? Basically i dont know what to do with the finess ones i mean dont give me the response work them with finess lol
  7. ok so i have been looking at other pics of people fish on here and they look smaller than mine but weigh like 1-2 lbs more than mine, im not really sure my scale is working correctly but if u had to make an estimate what would u say the weight of this fish was? the scale read 6 do you think that was correct ( it could just be that these bass were thicker than mine and you cant tell in the pic, or just the way im holding it lol ;D)
  8. I wrote it looks alot like a gan craft ayua jointed 178. Obviously the bait is at least 12" long. Doesn't look like any deps bait to me. Maybe you know the lure. i think he was talking about the fish on the measurer up there lol it says 7
  9. i like brush hogs but mainly craws. like in black with red flake or black with blue flake. Im not sure exaclty what brand of craws but if u pick a dark color like black/blue you cant go wrong imo

Welcome to BR its a great site, i dont know much about river fishing so i will let the masters help you out on this one
  11. I have fished when i was young but it wasnt anything really, i had gone deep sea fishing for a little bit when i went on trips. And i went to Alaska for it to and it was amazing. I caught like 10 salmon and a 75lbs halibut .Really it has been just recently i have fished on and off for bass for a bout a year but this spring i have had a new outlook i cant stop thinking about fishing and new techniques and skills i can learn to get good at this sport. Im setting goals for my self such as learning new lures and getting good with them (the jig at the moment) I just caught my first fish ever on a jig and first over 5 pounds and it was a nice 6 lb bed fish and that is a great accomplishment in my mind. Im young so i have a great sport to improve at for a long long time.
  12. yea hudson try to learn to pitching and fliping it will be helpful in quiet approaches
  13. look through the articles about different times during the year and best techniques and tips for them If you look around you will see there is a lot of great information here o and btw 24/7 365 baby the cold cant stop me lol but down south we dont have ice so thats nice
  14. you dont always have to match the trailer with the skirt just match ur hatch and see what works for you
  15. Left handed reels are made of WIN
  16. o noes i think this topic might go back to being a controversy lol ;D
  17. You can trim the weedguard to just longer than the hook and fan it out almost into a V and cut some of the fibers out because you really will not need all of them also trim the skirt around the hook to make it shorter and make the skirt get some better action and you can add rattles to your jig and never forget your pig on the end i would look online for the proper ways to do this
  18. I would say to learn one thing at a time until u feel comfortable with your skills with that particular item. I would pick jigs and pigs or soft plastics to start with and just get really in touch with your skills with those O and btw good casting never could hurt
  19. Oui moi aussi lol ;D Madame just doesnt understand
