Hey. A buddy just caught this bass out at a pond i fish every now and then.  He said he didn't get any measurments, because he wanted a safe release.  Any guesses as to what the weight is?

I think the fish probably weighs a little over 6lbs. I highly doubt it weighs less than 5.5lbs

Your hand under the fish gives us a clue,  I would say from photos of fish that I have had on a scale,  yours is around 4.5 to 5 lbs.  Which is a nice respectable fish, Congrats...

I'd go with about 5lb 4oz. Looks like there's some chunk there in that belly between you fingers.

If you have a picture where he's holding it next to him instead of held out it would be easier to guess.

Well, she has quite the stomach. Id say 6lbs.

I'd guess 5 lbs, +/- 1/2 a lb.

The de-liars are the way to go. I can usually take off half a pound from my first guess, once the fish is weighed.

About 5lbs maybe 5.5 nice fish!
