It's a little more complicated than that, but I don't use spinning reels, so somebody will come shortly and give their $.02. Use an arbor knot to tie the line to the spool. You never want to fill it "full". Fill it about 1/8 inch from the top of the spool.

Nothing, I've been using them for years with great success. I also happen to have Gammies as well. I've never found myself choosing the gammies over the EC's if I had the choice. I agree. I too have noticed that they rust a little faster, but they still work. They are not bad hooks.

There is no point posting "Should have got a Crucial", or "THEY SUCK" in an "I Love My Carrot Stix" thread. I agree with Muddy and RW. Tin turned me on to Carrot Stix and I love them. However, I listened to RW and Yo-Zuri was like a glass slinky, and KVD Line and Lure did nothing but pre-wet my line. I've learned to listen, but also make a decision on my personal preference, which is not right or wrong, nor anybody's place to tell me if it is right or wrong.

Last year's champion was from the CAA...the same team that beat the SoCon champ earlier in the playoffs (one of two CAA teams that beat the SoCon's best team). ASU would finish anywhere from 1st to 3rd in the CAA, Wofford would maybe finish in the top 5 or 6 and Elon might get into the top 10. It's just a tougher conference. Sure, the SoCon has championships but lately their strength has been in their one elite team, not their top to bottom toughness. The last 3 years we won our titles we lost at least 3 conference games a year. For the last time.... The SoCon is NOT weak!!

You are really basing this off a preseason poll?? The SoCon may have had an off year, but it won't last long. You don't get a trophy for being in the top 25 preseason. You don't get a trophy for being #2-25 post season. You get a trophy for winning championships; which the SoCon has, and the CAA doesn't have. That my friend is dominance. You cannot call a team or conference dominant preseason.

Wofford, Elon, Furman, and Georgia Southern are all solid teams. Saying the SoCo is not dominant is outrageous.

I like how people crap all over E21 when one of their rods breaks just because they are new at fishing rods. I really, really, really, really doubt these rods break on their own. Nobody bashes G. Loomis or St. Croix when they break their rods. Are these rods worth $200? Maybe not. Nobody has even listed a source for this claim. Are they one of the best $150 rods out there? Yes.

Ahh, I gotcha. I tried on a bunch of them but the Fathoms felt the best on my head. My cabeza must not be that grande. I ended up with the Fathoms with CR-39 lenses in Vermillion. I was going to get Amber but I liked the Vermillion a little better. Nice dude! I have the Fathoms in green mirror glass. You'll love them!
