Is there a bigger doofus than Aaron Martens?
I do think Gkramer is on to something. We just don't understand one another all that well. We get to thinking that everyone should think and act like us and that causes us to act conversely to people that don't. Just think of the different things that sets you off that probably wouldn't set others off. Aaron fishes for a living so he is bound to be a little more uptight about all things fishing. I'm still not saying that he is a whiner cause I know that I can lose my cool over a NCAA football game. Doing the comparison, he has more of a right to be mad than me. Based on what everyone says and the pros that I know that know him, he's a good guy with a funny cali way of talking, but more importantly he's a normal guy like you and me with mad fishing skillz making the best of what he's got. Fluke Colors........
I like colors that match the baitfish in that area. Which happens to be alot of the colors already spoken of: shad colors, Watermelon, and baby bass are really good to me. Mottfia

Which Fish Scent Works The Best?
Alot of it depends on your style of fishing. As a fast fisherman, Scent doesn't do me much good but as you slow down scent does become a bigger factor. If you think about pattern fishing and putting together a puzzle scent would be a small piece of the puzzle, with structure and bait being large pieces. but with that said, if you know where the fish is and what lure will get the fish to react then you are in the right ball park. Now what happens when things slow down like they always do during the mid day. Well you should grab that bottle of scent and see if that changes you luck before leaving the area or changing lures. Tackle Brands YOU Trust
I've got to say that I haven't really thought about this in awhile but it does get me to thinking. So for plastics: Netbait...I've had alot of success with their whole line of lures Jigs are Davis Jigs and Arkies...Davis jigs have great colors and a high hookup percentage for how I fish...arkies are cheap and effective when fun fishing. Crankbaits have become an issue with me. I was a huge fan of Norman...still am but I have had a number of Deep little Ns and even the newer Strike King Cranks have busted on me. I still trust the Norman's DD22 and Bandits. They can cover a number of uses. Spinnerbaits...they may be my pickiest category and maybe not. I have used stanley wedges, strike king, hank parker classics, and Davis spinnerbaits. What have I decided..Nothing, they all work fine. The only thing I have to say is that once I get used to using a blade the company stops production on it. :-/ Reels are Ambassedeurs. They just don't break. Rods...I'm cool with All Star and Ugly Sticks. Line... Trilene XT Mottfia

dumb question...
Every lure company seems to have a different interpretation of the color. It seems that some are more translucent or solid than others while some are more yellow or green then others. Cart7t' s answer hit the nail on the head with the word variable Mottfia

Dock's n Swimmin Jigs
If your going for a faster presentation where you are hitting the edges then a jig is the way to go. If the fish are hanging out on the outside of the dock then figure out how high or low they are in the water column and the relateing structure and you're in for a great day. I also agree with CWB and RW when it comes to fishing under docks. Swimming jigs aren't as effective to me personally. It may be my mind block but I feel that if the fish is under the dock then they are less aggressive and demand a lower spinning reel presentation...Plus spinning reels are extremely good at skipping ;D Mottfia

How often do we catch the same bass??
Thats pretty cool Paul. I believe that a lot of the pond fish I catch are repeat customers ( its only a 3 acre pond) but I have never even thought to document it in such a way. Thats pretty awesome. I want to see this guy again in a few years! Mottfia

Need help? When to use them, flukes, worms, creature baits???
and to add to RW. Try to find a lure that works thru the cover well. After the fast bite is over, you need a biat that can get in the fish's face for a little while. Play with different lures. It can be confusing but think of you a little process for picking lures throughout the day and stand by it. Sometimes its just a matter of sticking it out more than it is about the lure. Mottfia

spinnerbaits runnin nearly sideways
Eyeball it closely from back to front and vise versa and make sure that the whole arm is diectly in line with the hook. If the "L" part where you tie your line is bent out then use your hand to squeeze it back together so that the blades run closer to the body. If you using a plastic trailer make sure it straight and not kinked.Make sure your skirt isn't bunched up on one side. X2. I was going to say the same thing Mottfia
