  1. I like fishing hollow bellies in deep water on a 1/2 oz jig head or shallow on a sworming hornet fishhead spin, but they tear easily, so I am looking at the Lunker City Shaker and Swimfish. Anyone use either of these? I could use some opinions before ordering.
  2. I have a Falcon Cara, 7' MH. It's an older rod, so it doesn't have the micro guides. I use it for Senko's and texas rigged worms. It's a great rod. I don't think you would be disappointed.
  3. Nice looking set up. How do you like that custom rod?
  4. proreelservice.com has the pliers you are looking for.
  5. Venom slim chunk. I use them on small jigs for river smallmouth.
  6. Has anyone tried the Flippin Kraken from Micro Munch Tackle? Looks about the same as the GYCB Hog and the price looks good too.
  7. I have two Revo S and a Citica E. I like them both and both set up and handle about the same. If I were to need another baitcaster, I would probably choose another Citica over the Revo S because I think it handles lighter weight lures a little better. I hope this helps.
  8. St. Croix Avid AVS68MXF. Shimano Saros 2500, Yozuri hybrid 6lb test.
  9. You could get a new one off of ebay for 102.99 and free shipping.
  10. Yeah baby, that's the best and easiest way to catch smallies. Definitely use this technique! What size and type hook do you use for this?
  11. I have the AVS68MXF and I use it for weightless Senko fishing. It's a great rod for fishing plastics on spinning gear.
  12. Thanks for a great review. I have been looking for a rod to replace a Falcon original I use for small cranks and topwater that has seen better days. This may be the one. I'll check them out.
  13. Thanks guys. I'll check out the 565 at the local BPS today. I have a low end Garmin that I have never been happy with and I'm ready to take a step up.
  14. I'm looking at a Lowrance X96. Does anyone have any experience with this unit or another brand in the $200.00 price range? I have also looked at the Humminbird brand. I would appreciate any input you guys have.
  15. Don't overlook the Shimano Sahara. It's priced at 80 bucks and is a darn nice reel for the money. I have the 2500 size spooled with Yozuri 6 lb. test and it's a good set up. I have not used the others you listed, so I can't comment.
  16. I have both and for weightless plastics, I like the 6'8" MXF best. I have mine set up with a Symetre and 6lb Yozuri Hybrid.
  17. I would include small hooks, split shot and bobbers for pan fish and beetle spins and small crankbaits for bass.
  18. Rocky Fork has a very nice campground. The fishing is just O.K. I have never been to the others you asked about, although I have heard the crappie fishing at Paint Creek is good.
  19. I have the St. Croix Avid 7' medium heavy and it is an awesome rod, and it's less than $200.
  20. I think I've read everything on the site in the last year. It's a great place with alot of excellent information. I just wish I had more time to put it all to good use. Keep up the good work!
