The NFC Championship Game is between the Bears and the Packers. For true fans they know what that means. Both teams play differently when they play each other and home-team advantage means something even though Packers fans travel well. Both games this year were nail biters and home field advantage came into play. This will be a great game, one that I am looking forward to as a Bears fan. I am sure all players will be ready. Remember no one gave either team much of a chance. Greenbay with all their injuries and Chicago due to inconsistency. It is amazing how both teams pulled it together.

Steve I have been trying to lose weight but you know how it is around the holidays, elbow is acting up also.

Had the pleasure to spend some time in Orlando right after the holidays and did a bit of fishing. I really got schooled by the Florida Bass. I have heard how they can shut down after a cold front but OMG I never thought it was that bad. Did manage some 3-4 lb'er and this 5lb 15oz bass. Anyway it was good to get away from the great white north for a while. Caught on 1-9-11.

Either speed is fine you can always slow down. In heavy cover I like using 50 lb braid. In most open water or like cover I use a 12lb fluorocarbon. I use a MHXF rods which helps with my hookups.

Seriously? Even brand new? Why is that? Do they just gunk it up with too much grease from the factory? If so, would getting all that excess grease off and replacing it with a light layer give me smoother performance? Thanks Reels unfortunately are built with the intent of building as many as possible in the least amount of time. Excessive grease is added at times to hold components in place during assembly. You will find a mass improvement by cleaning right out of the box. I experienced this on many brands some are better then others but most will be improved.

Braid has no stretch with the rod you are using there is nothing iin the way of absorption of the strike. Due to this if you set the hook you may even be ripping right out of the fishes mouth. A Co-Polymer would probably work better even with heavy weeds. A

I agree with this statement your thought process is much too simplified. There is such a thing as gin clear water which is heavily pressurized. One difference might be heavy weed growth which in turn provides cover for the bass. In this situation Braid may excel. Good sensitivity and the ability to cut through weeds will be your ally. Plus the weeds will tend to break up the braids visibility and appear to be nothing more then a weed. Now in a situation with gin clear water and lack of weed growth (which may have a rock bottom) Fluorocarbon will help in both visibility and abrasion resistance. Both will have a use in this type of situation. If the lake has both of these situations based on location of the Bass both lines may have there place.

That would be sweet. I would hate it to have to go till the last game of the season to secure the Division. The Frozen Tundra with revenge mixed in is a bad. If they have another game like they had against the Eagles it will be a win. DA BEARS!!!!!!!!!
