Rage Tail. Epic Fail.
Yes. Specifically Section 2.4-1 yet I've had zippy success. Tried the Toad again Saturday night and people were missing fish on frogs left and right. "I'll prove myself wrong! I'll try my RageToad!" Nothing. Tied on my 8" swimbait and got 6 hits in a row in the same spot. Swimbait, please. Big- O- thanks for the words of inspiration. I may not count them out completely, but I will keep them in my bag for when I'm just catching too many fish and will try to gain confidence in something else. Josh, You just have to try a Craw T-Rigged with 1/4 oz tungsten and 4/0 Gammie EWG. I telling you my friend it is the bomb when the bite is tough. Good job with the swimbaits.

Is the front of the boat an advantage?
When fishing as a team, it should be a team effort. If you feel you are better at boat control, know the location better, like how to set up on the spot, then you should be up front. If you are both bank beaters and simply casting to targets of opportunity, then go up front and share the platform. The angler running the trolling motor, watching the sonar unit, controls where you both fish and has the advantage if skilled. WRB To a certain extent this is true. With my partner I am at the bow. I go to great extents to position the boat so he can make an accurate cast. When fishing main lake points you can give him an advantage based on angles. Him being at the stern he can be in a better position to hit the back side of the points. Being partners is just that, equal casting angles.

What are these fish doing?
Just because you did not see a bed does not mean there was not one there. Also they may have already spawned if the conditions were right and were protecting fry. At both time they can be unpredictable.

Need some advice on a rod
Vinny a 7'6" rod is better for flipping. Pitching is a different animal. You will normally pitch a bit farther then flipping and will want more accuracy. Unless you are a tall guy you will want a 7' rod. I like a heavy Power rod myself but a MH Power will work also.

Rage Tail. Epic Fail.
I know what you mean Glenn, the only Bass I ever caught on a swimbait are Stripers. They are a fresh water tuna ;D Give it a try when they are busting on shad. Let's talk some swimbaits!!!!!!!

Rage Tail. Epic Fail.
Frankster, Who is trying to start an arguement? Not me. Isn't a forum a place to discus their opinions, and give advice and feedback? Is my post an opinion of mine? Good, glad we're on the same page. And AS I STATED, I know they catch fish. I do. Just not for me. And Leo, that is a hog, bro, I just can't seem to find the fish with these little buggers. As far as throwing a company under the bus? I haven't. They obviously have a HUGE following, and their marketing and product placement is ridiculously flawless (IMO). This is also part of the hype I was talking about. I give an opinion, and its not one that you guys agree with, so somehow my opinion is incorrect. Which is cool, because thats your opinion. Opinions are like butt holes. Everyone has one. I don't know about you guys, but I leave other people opininions (and butt holes) to them selves. And enough of the "send them to me"'s. IMO, they aren't worth the postage. I have a few buddies locally that might get Rage Tail tattoos that would love them. Any plastic presentation takes patience. I threw crankbaits for years. About 5 years ago I dedicated myself to nothing but plastics in every presentation know. My catch rate went up. I finally learned patience which made me a better angler and person. I also use Zoom Brush Hogs, and Tiki Senkos. After having a couple of hundred pounds of plastics I finally figured out what to use. Any presentation requires patience, give it a try and do not blame the bait.

Rage Tail. Epic Fail.
If a bait will produce a fish like this. 5 lb 11oz I would say they are worth what I paid, it is my money, until the wife gets ahold of it that is. By the way it was caught on a Rage Tail Craw, Summer Craw color. This trip we averaged 43 keepers a day. Other were caught on cranks but a vast majority on Rage Tail Craws and Space Monkeys. Way to go Big O on designing fine baits!

I am DONE with Cumaras!! Need new suggestions.
This does sound odd. I have been fishing for about 45 years and have only broken two rods. One closing a truck door on it and the second a St Criox Avid on a hook set. The line looped back over while fishing a T-Rig and I set the hook with the line draped across the rod between the Top and second eye. I know that is what happeded as it was during windy conditions nad my cast had a bit of a loop to it.

Two Bags
A little old lady was walking down the street dragging two plastic garbage bags behind her. One of the bags rips, and every once in a while a $20 bill falls out onto the sidewalk. Noticing this, a policeman stops her, and says, "Ma'am, there are $20 bills falling out of your bag." "Oh, really? Darn!" said the little old lady. "I'd better go back, and see if I can find them. Thanks for telling me." "Well, now, not so fast," says the cop. "How did you get all that money? "You didn't steal it, did you?" "Oh, no" , said the little old lady. "You see, my back yard is right next to the football stadium parking lot. On game days, a lot of tailgate fans come and pee through a hole in the fence and onto my flower garden. So, I stand behind the fence with my hedge clippers. Each time some guy sticks his "thingie" through the fence, I grab it and say, '$20 or off it comes' "Well, that seems only fair" laughs the cop. "OK. Good luck! Oh, by the way, what's in the other bag?" "Well, you know", "not everybody pays".

Which fishing reel should i buy?
X2 or you can do like I did and buy each of them. Truly all are fine and it boils down to what you want. Just stay with the mid to high end and you will be satisfied.
-
Think my line is still good?
I would use it. If it was stored properly like you did and treated with KVD it should be OK. Unless you are fishing a big tournament, then I would re-spool. :

Kitty update
Looks like you sedated them. Put on some chaps.
