  1. I looked at these this weekend. These are some friggin' nice looking and well finished rods. The end-cap on the grips is a nice touch. I bought one as a back-up great rod for the money IMO
  2. Uncle Leo replied to avid's topic in Fishing Reports
Wow if they were the folks you met that would be unsettling.
  3. Huh? Oh well Junebug I guess.
  4. Sweet you can not beat a PB!
  5. I have had my best luck with Wiggle Warts in crawfish patterns.
  6. i disagree. I dont know any T.O.P songs off the top of my head, but i will choose classic rock over any modern day music any time. I just went to see Lynard Skynard this weekend. I'm 23 years old and can truly appreciate great music (classic rock, to the bighair bands) ! Led Zepplin Rocks!
  7. Them Quickfires were loose old things but I caught many a fish on them. I think I still have one laying around somewhere.
  8. An A is an A. Still sounds like you did well. Do not give in to them.
  9. I guess Striper Rod is the operative word. Flechero builds rods so his opinion is the best answer. I really know little about Striper Rods.
  10. Both are good for light baits. I have a Curado E and my partner has a Citica E so I was able to try both. Either will do the job. But for $50 more the Curado is much smoother.
  11. Thems Cajuns are smart boys I's say.
  12. Love it guess we're showing our age.
  13. Are you sure about the ML Power? Seems odd that 12-20 lb line rating would be for a ML. If it is a Med. Power should be fine. ML for deep divers might wear you out.
  14. Baseball and fishing two of America's Greatest past-times, way to go Pops.
  15. And then so this shall pass!
  16. Outstanding, I bet he is now hooked on jigs.
  17. Good luck, heal up so you can get back on the water.
  18. No thanks necessary Muddy, now that you embarrassed me I am going to send a Shimano. Besides don't you mean Thanks Youse Guys, spoken like a true Southsider.
  19. No way am I telling I can be fired for being on at work. Besides I would have to fire myself, the boss should never fire the boss, right?
  20. Yep they have interchangable blades. Good people to do business with they will nrom ally send extra blades at no cost on your first order. At least that is what they did two years ago.
  21. Nice one, that is the way to stick with it, it pays off sometimes.
  22. He definitely plays with passion but his big problem is not what he does while he is on the field. I think his teammates and coaches could deal with him if he was just intense on the field. He becomes his own worst enemy when he gets in front of the cameras. I don't care if you work for McD's, IBM, or an NFL team you should NEVER publicly bash your employer try to negotiate/resolve disputes on TV. I would bet a good deal of quarterbacks/receivers/lineman have serious words in the locker room after some games. IMO, if he would just learn to words "no comment" and stick to them, his issues would disappear. He is a great player no doubt. The problem with being a great player and an a** is as soon as you are a little off your game, you are gone. A real good player conducts himself better, leads, and ensures his leadership role will keep him in the game after he has begun to role off his A game. Yes unfortunately this is how the game has changed. In the past if a player stepped out of line the coach dealt with it as he seen fit. I am sure there has always been player like TO, it just was not tolerated.
  23. That is because you are fishing in dense cover that is the same color (most likely) as your line If you are not fishing in heavy cover or in stained water why would you want to use braid? Use a 100% Floro that is high quality.. (BPS XPS for ex) just as manageable on spinning tackle... but if you wanna go braid.. Power pro and stren are really good. This is why I pointed out it was in weeds.
  24. Is it possible to play with too much passion? Is TO an example of this? Just maybe. No doubt he can play the game.
