  1. Either will do the job, I have both and use for the exact purposes. Brake is more user friendly on the Curado. If you use the Revo for short cast without much weight change the brakes work just fine. The only problem with the Revo brakes are constant adjustments. Once adjusted they work just fine. On sale on would go with the Revo, then buy the Curado after to save some money.
  2. Seems like Revos were discussed also? I kind of like my Diawa Advantage also.
  3. I use both and have to agree with your assessment on the Revos. I have dedicated them to T-Rigging and Jig. If you set them once for a weight they seem fine. Use for multiple changeout on weight and they can be tiresome. Not the case with either Curado D or E. Both are great reels (Revos and Curados) but like any tool they have their place I quess.
  4. It's all about the drag when fighting a big one on light gear. Good use of drag, great job, I have seen some amazing catches on light tackle. If the fish is played right it can be landed. I seen my partner land a 28 lb Musky on a light action spinning rod with 8 lb line.
  5. I had a Magnesium and was disappointed. Bought an Argon and WOW, now this is a rod. Highly sensitive, I have the 7'2" MH Worm Rod. Use Floro and feel everything.
  6. I believe if he achieves what Catt thinks is possible in his senior year there could be an argument for it. Let the argument begin at the end of the season!!!!!!!!!
  7. Catt, if you look at my post I refer to this. What I neglected to state is IMHO this is one of the most important consideration and should be taken into account when considering current, wind and vegetation. Can I have my GOLD STAR please.
  8. I agree with Glen here, I fished Table Rock two smmers ago but without a guide. Spent 3 days trying to find fish to bite. A guide is a must.
  9. Wind, current, desired fall rate and vegetation. But always go try to go with the lightest unless fall rate is significant based on conditions.
  10. Now that just makes perfect sense! LOL
  11. If I were you I would let her take you fishing the next time. WOW great job!!!
  12. It will be the hardest thing you will do in your Life but the most fruitful. The best wishes to both of you, God blessed us with marriage, give thanks my friend.
  13. I always wanted to school KVD I would also be happy being schooled ;D
  14. I takes great talent to feel that bite, way to go! ;D
  15. What the heck is a Tiddler?
  16. Berkley Big Game, waste not, never fails but allows me to change line test without going OH @#%^&*. ;D ;D ;D
  17. Best wishes and Good Luck!
  18. I do not own a Carrot Stick as I hate the color orange, personal preference. I do wonder though if folks thought the same about graphite rods when they were introduced. I guess time will tell. I not much of a golfer either but one thing I can tell you the way I hit a ball and abuse a club I believe I would brake a Carrot Stick Rod. Food for thought, folks will buy what they want. Everyone swears by what they use, me included.
  19. I also T-Rig them but use a 1/8 oz tungsten weight. I fish a strip pit as a home lake. Very clear water. The lake is lined with reeds. If it is very sunny day the bass will tuck up into the reeds. I pitch this rig in and just kill them on some days. I beleive the Brush Hog excels in weeds of any type.
  20. Drag a Senko, like bail money.
  21. Never have but I have used a Manns -1, they are killer!
  22. A burrito and beer away from 200 lbs.
  23. I believe I met my match, what a belly. Looks prespawn!
  24. Either way I'll be there I just wish someone would make up their mind. Besides Kelley would kill me if I did not show.
  25. Brave man, at least I had enough sense to go down in a shopping cart. LOL
