You tell 'em bighead! I really find this hard to believe. I wonder if any of the decision makers at BASS/ESPN bothered to think of how many people this was going to pi$$ off? Those kids want to fish with KVD, Ish, Ike and Skeet....not John Smith, Jerry Doe and Joe Shmo. (No offense John, Jerry and Joe) but the whole pro/kid experience is GONE! WAY TO GO BASS!

I went through the "no senko" period this past season. I threw it occasionally but I was catching my bigger fish on other things, mainly the shaky head worm and the jig. Both were puuting bigger fish in the boat. Now last season I threw senko's nonstop....things just didnt work out this year like they did last year with the stickbaits, so I had to find some different go-to baits. Finding a different go-to bait happens about every season for me.

This store is brand new and they are still getting their initial shipments in so the Premiers are coming any day! Plus, one of the 2 guys that run the fishing dept is an old fishin' buddy. Didnt see him until the 2nd time I went. He can/will order whatever we want.....believe me, I asked.

One of my buddies called today and said that Shimano is overstocked with Curado's and they are now offering a $50 rebate just to move them. If anybody needs one or two, I can get them for $189+tax and I'll have the rebate forms to send along. Too bad I'm not a Shimano user....$50 off is a good deal.

Nobody is mad at the BCS for KU being in the Orange Bowl. Everybody is mad because the BCS system blows. The Ravens had so many opportunities to close the door tonight but they just couldnt do it. Penalties, a stupid timeout (thats gonna haunt them for a while)...and the dude throwing the ref's flag into the stands was killin' me. If he had not been restrained, I think he would've body slammed that ref. But looking back now, the ref should've body slammed him for throwing his flag into the stands.

Yeah, you probably did the "right" thing, but like I said, I have no patience or retraint in situations like that, especially with drunks. And you did ask what we would do. Meeting him at the restroom like that you have a less than 50% chance that it will end up in a fight. He really doesnt want to have to explain to his wife (or have you explain to his wife) why he's scrappin' in the restroom. ;D

basspro48, there was a Gander Mtn to be built here in Roanoke but I think its on the back burner for now for some reason. My biggest problem with Dick's is that they have no high end stuff.....the St Croix Premiers are the highest quality rod they sell and they hardly ever put anything worth a hoot on sale. I do like the fact that Dick's will give you a big discount on the display model reels....I bought a couple Revo SX's and 2 Pflueger Supreme spinning reels there for way less than regular price. I'm hoping SW will do the same. The bait_monkey called earlier and is meeting me at SW tomorrow at 2:15 pm. He says I need a couple more rods and some more LC's to get ready for spring.

I have no patience or restraint ability in situations like that.The key is separating the two guys. I probably would've waited for one of the dudes to go to the restroom, politely excused myself and showed up right there with him, give him a hard look just to see what kind of response I got. If he had something to say, I'd address it one way or the other. If he wanted to drop 'em, we'd drop 'em, if not, oh well. He'd definitely get the message though. And if it did come down to a scrap, it would only be against the one guy, not both.

Yeah, exactly. I saw some Jackall stuff but not Megabass.....I guess I could've overlooked them because there were so many people in every aisle. I plan to go back tomorrow in the afternoon when everybody should be at work. I'm really glad this store popped up here. We needed something like it around here badly.....Dicks was okay for a while but they aint got nothin' on SW.
