Morning is a great time in the fall to catch schooling bass. Just scout some shad ahead of your trip and be there just before the sun comes up. Chances are you'll see some schooling fish. Whatever you do, just be around the shad.....and dont be scared to drop a spoon if you see any fish on your graph.

Yeah, I agree. He needs to retire. I'm a big Favre fan simply because of the way he plays (played) but honestly, I'm done with him. He had the mojo going for him last year and it sure was fun to watch but this year it seems his multiple INT's every game and the 'diva' factor is bringing down the whole team. He's banged up at mid season and wont be 100% until well after the season ends. The coach is a dumpster fire all by himself and I just dont see things getting better in Minnesota.

You just added some credibility to my post. I stated that in the clear lakes that I fish, the extra rattles were overkill most times. The wobble and general noise of the hooks and rings on a silent bait is often enough to attract a fish. Correct. But it can be. That was my point. You have to give both a chance and usually by the end of the day, one of the two will outfish the other.

While a rattle will attract a fishes attention, it can also be the deciding factor on whether or not it eats the bait. I'm glad some companies are offering silent baits again. I fish a super clear highland reservoir and having rattles is overkill most times. They can see my bait a long ways away and dont need the help of rattles to help them locate it. I'm one of the people who feel like a silent bait is better for clear water but most times when I'm out I'll throw something with rattles as well as a silent bait to try to dial things in.

You're right. Nobody cares what happens in a bad team's locker room. ;D I cant believe the owner didnt fire Childress for kicking Moss to the curb like he did. Moss was just being Moss when he insulted that catering company and even though that incident shows that Moss has no class, he's still a Hall of Famer on the field, and in the NFL, on the field performance is what counts.
