  1. I'd find out water temps first then decide. Since there will be 4 guys fishing, I would find areas that haven't gone into the spawn just yet.
  2. Awesome day! Nice job fellas!
  3. The Bomber 4A in brown craw is a favorite of mine this time of year. The Real Craw series they just put out has accounted for numerous bass on my last 2 outings. Ditch Craw color.
  4. Way to go Double 0!!
  5. Buy 'em all. No need to limit yourself.

Rock Chalk? ;D If The Jaychokes could hit a 10 ft jumper, they would've won.
  8. Yeah, sounded like he did a little something that nobody else thought about or just didnt find. Thats often what separates the winner from the rest of the field. I was hoping to see Gman win and go 2 for 2 in the Southern Opens but Fletcher slammed that door. Did anyone else have video problems while watching the weigh-in on FLW? It was cutting out and starting over, etc...plus I never could find a 'live' leaderboard on the FLW website, just the leaderboard after Day 2.
  9. Yeah man, he found 'em. Congrats to him. I think he had over 17# each of the last 2 days. Thats stout for Norman.
  10. One of my favorites. I throw them on every trip this time of year and it's usually good for at least a fish or three.
  11. Yeah, thats kinda what I was gettin at. My home lake has lots of coves, pockets and creeks, many of which are 40 - 50 ft down the middle. Fish depth is relative to their available surroundings and at this time of year, water temps dictate.
  12. This isn't true where I'm at in Va. The better bite has been deep. Water temps are very important right now and will tell you a lot about what's going on.

  15. Heck, if you're going that far you might as well just keep going a little further and hit Gaston.
  16. Durability = not much I use the o-rings on them now.
  17. Good stuff man! That place is going to get hammered this weekend with the BFL going on.
  18. I'd put down the spook for starters. If the water is in the low 50's (and relatively clear) throw a jerkbait, 54 and up throw a couple different depth cranks until you find what you want. If the water is high 50's to 60 just pitch a jig to the banks.
  19. Understatement of the year.

  21. I'm on my 3rd Gambler now. I think they are high quality custom built boats with great attention to detail. That said, even if I do think it, I dont want to come out and say they sell the best boat out there because that argument cannot be won. Do some investigation on Gambler/Sterling, take a ride in one. I think you'll like what you see. This is the one I'm riding around in now. This is what I'll be riding around in next.
  22. Now I know where my gnome went.
