  1. You are a Pinnacle winner, correct? You might want to edit that in your Subject to help everyone out.

The search is kind of tricky. You have to make sure to select that you want it to find all posts. you might have forgot to select that and it was only showing you the posts for the last week or so.

  5. I catch quite a few fish on these things. No big ones yet though.
  6. Big Tom replied to DaveT63's topic in Fishing Tackle
Well this is one subject that will quickly be locked. Before it does, all you need to know is that it may catch a few bass but other baits will work better. It is pretty much a gimmick and is not worth the money. I would check the FAQ's and you will find some good reading there.
  7. My friend has a 200hp VMax Series 2 motor on the back of his Skeeter. That thing is crazy. It runs awesomely and fires up on the first crank every single time. It has definitely made me want to get a Yamaha when the time comes to buy my own boat. I would love to try one of the SHO's. It seems that Yamaha has got them figured out.
  8. I have been in that exact boat. It was nice. Now go catch some fish!!!

This thread surprised me. I figured it would either die without much interest or it would include a bunch of people asking what the hell ****** is.
  10. I bet he left a good dent. That was loud.
  11. Can I upgrade a 6' medium Premier for a 7' medium Avid?
  12. Thanks, Bear. I will be sure to check out those websites. I appreciate the info.

  14. I would fish a set up like that if the people I am in the club with was willing to share information. It sounds like it would a great way to have some fun and learn a few things.
  15. Ouch. That has to suck. I guess they are serious with that warning. :
  16. That is a really nice looking bass.
  17. I sorta dated a blond once... :-X
  18. It seems that I am starting to get the itch to go Musky fishing again. I dedicated a weekend to it last fall (which is supposed to be prime time on the local lake) and didn't catch any. Had quite a few follows and had one absolutely crush a Jr. Double Cowgirl. I didn't hook it because the hooks that come on most musky baits seem like they are really dull and I was using a severely underpowered rod. I have a couple questions: First, how do you guys deal with the bad hooks that come on most musky baits? Do you replace them or sharpen them? If you replace them, where in the hell do you find 7/0 trebles? What kind of setups are you guys running? I am thinking about purchasing a Shimano Compre 8' XH musky rod. I may put an Abu Garcia C3 on it and load it up with 80lb. braid. What are some of your favorite musky baits? I currently have a Jr. Double Cowgirl and black/orange Medussa. Getting ready for this fall, I am tempted to buy a couple large bass swimbaits and see how I do on them. Spro's 8" BBZ-1 in the carp color looks like money. They run about the same price as Musky baits and are a whole lot prettier. I know a musky could potentially tear the living dog ish out of one but it would be worth seeing in my opinion. Since this is a dedicated bass forum I suspect that I may not get a lot of answers. Any input is appreciated even if you have no advice but a good story to tell.

One of my quirky college friends was telling me and KYntucky Warmouth about ****** one night. He pulled out all the necessary components and we started smoking away. Aside from feeling like it was illegal, it was a pleasant experience. ;D The tobacco he had was infused with pomegranate and it was delicious. I used to be a semi-heavy smoker and the difference in smoothness was unreal. Since you are inhaling water vapor it just feels so much better. If I ever pick up smoking again, I will be getting my own set.
  20. If you can, try to find a good topographical map of the lakes you fish. That will give you a huge advantage in locating structure. The land surrounding the lake is a good place to start looking. You can find points this way. Also, if the land is relatively flat as it meets the water, chances are the area is a flat or is at least relatively shallow. This may also mean that banks with steep hills may be deeper than those mentioned above. Idle around these areas with your fish finder until you locate drop offs and such.
  21. I have never caught a catfish while cranking. I have seen my friend do it about 5 times in 3 years.
  22. How I would rate them: <15" is a dink. 15"-17" is a decent fish. 18"-19" is a good one. 20"+ is a hawg.
  23. The Classic is marketed as the most prestigious but I think most Elite Series Pros will tell you that they hold the AOY trophy in higher regard.
  24. Rick Clunn knows whats up. I agree with everything he said.
  25. I saw it on the news yesterday. There was some intense footage taken by a few guys trying to drive through the fires. Edit: Here is the video I saw on the news. There may be foul Russian language. Does that matter? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV6yhLD43RM
