Crankbait setup advice
You could score a Curado E5 off of ebay for under $150. Pretty awesome reel for cranks. 150 + ebay actually gives you lots of options.

Crankbait setup advice
I think you need to get the Pro Qualifier reel. It is the best bang for the money. Cranking sticks ain't bad cranking rods for the money either.

Check my eyes Please Did anyone watch Nat Geo/Flying Carp?/
Looked like a bass to me. Yep. Definitely a bass.

You're welcome. Its actually deceptively easy to embed youtube videos. [media?] [/media?] The icon to embed media is directly above the highlight icon. After you click it, you will want to put the entire youtube address between the brackets. It should look like what I did above minus the question marks. It is actually easier than embedding a picture. Hope that helps.

Never heard of it. Got a link?

Diff. between Bent and Straight Handle
I'm certainly no expert but from my experiences, its probably an aesthetic thing. I am sure someone else will say differently.

What line for crainkbait rod?
Welcome to the club. That won't be a popular statement around here. That is true. I have admittedly, never used Yo-Zuri. That is because I found P-Line about 3 years ago and never saw a reason to switch to anything else.

What ever happened to Friday night fishing?
I only get the outdoor channel and I always seem to forget about Friday night fishing. I caught some of it a few weeks ago and it was about 80% saltwater, 15% fly fishing, and 5% bass fishing.

swim jig
What kind of rods are you guys using for this? I have caught a few bass that hit while reeling my jig in. I have lost even more though because they caught me off guard. I haven't actually stuck with swimming a jig all day. It is something that I intend to do this fall.

Need a reel under $150
I would say the Citica is the best choice here if you are keeping it under 100. They are decent reels.

the best hook companies ?
I just flat out ain't paying for Trokars. I can't anything wrong with my Owner cutting points. Those hooks are as sharp as you will ever need and they stay that way through several fish.

Daiwa Pixy
I am wondering why you are up so late? I am curious about this reel. I can't wait to try it. Comparing the other prices on ebay, I think you did pretty good.

Nugget thief!
Really? That is effin pitiful. I "stole" off kids with free lunch all the time back in my high school days. Good lord. :

Accident on the water
;D I have been 73 mph on a Nitro Z9 and it felt ridiculous. So many people don't realize how speed translates on the water.

paintball
That is basically how we used to do it. We have an old barn on our property that people would hide in. It was always really fun to go try and get them out.

Double Texas Rig Is Here People.
Its a neat idea for working barren bottoms. Maybe an alternative to a Carolina rig. Most times that I am using a Texas rig, I am throwing it into some gnarly junk. This probably wouldn't be a good idea there.

Carrot stick
Thats one of several reasons I hope that job works out. If I don't change my mind, that will be my first rod purchase. 7' MH.

Carrot stick
These rods used to be really popular on here. They have fizzled out a little now. There have been some quality control issues that give the rods a questionable reputation. Bad guides and a few breakage issues come to mind. I never was big on them. Too bright. Here are a few threads from way back. Enjoy. paintball
I have been shot in both of those regions. I have to say that there isn't anything that compares to taking a paintball in the knuckles on a cold day. That feels extra good. I did get shot in that face once without wearing my mask. By brothers Tipmann went off accidentally and it hit me almost point blank, an inch under my right eye. Lucky.

Tru-Tungsten Weights
A lot of people around here also like to use the flipping weights for their Carolina rigs. I bought one the other day and lost it after fishing for about 20 minutes. That has been my only endeavor into Tungsten weights. I love the sensitivity but I still catch a whole lot of fish slinging lead.
