I don't think you will be upset with the Lucky Craft rod Kyntucky is mentioning. I have used it on a few different occasions and I can tell you that it is the BOMB for throwing deeper divers.

Honestly, I let my membership lapse after I became an active member of this site. I felt like the Bassmaster magazine was a little more geared toward selling me the next newest thing instead of teaching me about bass fishing. They also sent me a book they were going to charge me for which didn't set right with me at all. I do miss reading A Day on the Lake though.

Avatars don't really bother me one way or the other. There are some pretty good ones on here. I can't find anything wrong with your avatar either. Some people make no sense.

Anyone watching this? I just saw the first episode and it is pretty interesting. These guys approach survival very differently. I got to admit that although the "bush hippie" is pretty out there, the dude is pretty darn slick with his survival skills.

It is tough to learn but jig fishing pays off pretty nicely once you start getting the hang of it. Keep at it.

There are two things that kill this rod for me: 1. They are way too noodle-like for my tastes. That dude sure likes limber rods. I am on the other side of the spectrum. 2. Too dang flashy for me. Around this price point, the Lamiglas Excel, Falcon Bucco, and Abu Garcia Vendetta feel like better overall rods. That just my opinion from handling each of them in-store.

Finally watched the fights. Carwin did gas himself out pretty bad. The dude really should have calmed down and picked his shots better. He had Brock in trouble but couldn't land the shot he needed to seal the deal. With that said, Lesnar took a legit beating and hung in there. He surprised me with that. I cannot believe Carwin let him get that arm triangle. I guess he was just too gassed to really do much about it.

LOL!!! Been there. Bank fishing once, got a Zara Spook of all things stuck on a piece of standing timber. It was hot, and I wanted my bait back so I swam out there and retrieved it. I've caught a bunch of fish on that bait.

Isn't it pretty much necessary to give the boat a ton of throttle to get it to come up the bunks on most new model trailers? Is that what you are referring to? That is exactly how my friend and almost everyone else that has larger bass rigs load their boats.

To be fair, I haven't spent much time at all throwing the Anaconda baits. The Big Dead Ringer flat out catches a ton of bass for me though. It is one of my all-time favorite plastics.

Dang. I haven't been hurt as bad as some of you guys. I guess I am lucky because I am pretty clumsy.
