  1. Probably more than 99% of that info. I probably have a thick folder from my younger days, LOL. People that are concerned with government plots really need to watch C-SPAN for a half hour or so. Its will be pretty apparent that they are completely incapable of some complicated plot to steal your children. So those of us who may have an issue with some of the questions are all lunatic conspiracy theorists ? :-?
  2. Send it to the crew from CSI. Those guys are great. They solve crimes in under an hour, this should be cake for them.....
  3. We were sent the long form for the last census. I filled it out the same way I fill out any other census; the number of people living in my house. That's it. A few weeks later a census worker shows up at my house and proceeds to try and intimidate me into giving more information. He left with the same amount of information he arrived with, which was the number of people living in my house. He wasted a trip. I was not arrested, audited, fined, tortured, interrogated or anything of the sort. Never heard from them again.
  4. Read the first sentence over and over and over. If it aint set up correctly, everything else is a waste of time.
  5. Trust me and Dodgeguy on this one, the Pflueger President or Supreme are superior reels to the PQ. I'm not saying BPS reels are junk, but in this situation Pflueger wins. Do the research and read the reviews. For what it's worth, I own a Pflueger Trion spinning reel ($39.99) that's going on it's fourth year of service without a single problem. I also own a Supreme, which is a killer for $99.99. You will be happy with the Flooger or Dodgeguy will give you double your money back.......
  6. Okay, I feel ignorant. I would think that a higher viscosity would be better, but you are using one of the low viscosity oils. Can you please explain the pros and cons. By the way, I have a bunch of those little bottles of oil that come with Shimano reels and that's all I've ever used. Think of it this way: The Zebco oil at the top of his list is like pancake syrup (not literally!) and the Rem oil at the bottom is water. The thicker (higher viscosity) oil will adhere better to your bearings, the tradeoff being that it will slow them down due to higher resistance. The thinner (low viscosity) oils will allow your bearings to spin faster because they don't add as much resistance. The tradeoff there is it wears away quicker, requiring more frequent lube intervals. A reel lubed with high viscosity oil may not cast as far as one lubed with low viscosity oil, but a reel with the spool bearings lubed with low viscosity oil is easier to backlash. Low viscosity oil is NOT inferior, it's a personal preference thing Your Shimano oil is fine. Get a fine needle oil bottle dispenser from a hobby shop. It dispenses oil one drop at a time, which is all you need on a bearing.
  7. They're called boats because all of the good four letter words were taken...... Seriously, I hope they make good on it for you.
  8. Think of Elite as Trilene XL (extra limp) and Siege as XT (extra tough). Elite is a tad more supple, probably a better choice for spinning reels. Sufix is great line by the way.
  9. I break out my ultra lite rig when the skunk is on. I usually never fail to hook up with something, and quite often hook into very nice bass and pickerel. It gets me back into the groove of catching fish. Fish in the same areas you usually do and you may find all they wanted was something smaller. It's a fact most of the critters bass eat average around 2".
  10. For what it's worth, I didn't do well with jigs last weekend (the 6th and 7th) myself, but I did rack up eight bass total slow moving a 4" craw tube on the bottom. No hogs, all in the 1 to 2 lb range, but I'll take 'em. They were pretty aggressive for March. http://*.com/crawtube As for the rain this weekend, I think fishing is done for a while until the waters calm down and clear up. If you still want to try for them in churned up muddy water, rattling or other noisy baits may be your only option until the water clears up.
  11. Gorilla glue may be a better option as it expands quite a bit to get itself into every possible crevice inside the lure's body. Then it could be trimmed at the fill hole after it finished expanding and cured.
  12. They're making a full length movie version......
  13. If you're not confident in the landing pad, then hover.
  14. Are you fishing the same part of the lake you did well at last August and September ? Don't fall into the pattern of thinking "This is where the fish are in this lake". Fish move around for many reasons such as temperature, oxygen levels, food, etc. Try different spots before giving up.
  15. In my line of work, a bathroom is almost never around, and if it is, you'd have to get me there at gunpoint. I've deuced in ways and places you couldn't imagine ;D I will tell you this, a five gallon bucket has been my best friend many times. My wife used to think that was gross until I pointed out that no one else had ever used it for that before. Probably way more sanitary then any public bathroom.
  16. Wipe it off. Grease anywhere but the gears can potentially get where it does not belong. My '09 STX was the same way. Maybe the factory does it on purpose, perhaps to protect the inner surfaces in case the reel spends a long time sitting until it gets sold.
  17. The temps are above freezing, the ice is gone and it's blowing 200 mph with sideways rain. YGBFKM (you gotta be #@$$#%$ kidding me) The two days fishing I squeezed in last weekend was just a big tease. That confirms Mother Nature is a female for sure.
  18. Gee, do ya think that paper would have printed the story of their employee getting nabbed for fraud ? ;D I can hear the conversation in the editor's office...."Uh, let's not run that one ".....
  19. Screw 'em. Anyone that blows that kind of one in a million opportunity for whatever reason deserves to work in a carwash. No tears here.
  20. Well, here down south of y'all (Camden County), it's on. I got 8 total between last Saturday night and Sunday night. No fatties, but still good to get the first fish of the year. All of them caught slow boppin' a black 4" craw tube on the bottom. Man, was that a long a$$ winter or what ?
  21. ESPN flat out sucks anymore. At everything. They've become bloated and full of themselves. They are to sports what Entertainment Tonight is to journalism.
  22. Back in the 80's, Philadelphia was THE meth capital of the USA. You could literally drive down certain streets and smell the meth labs. Occasionally one would blow up, only to be promptly replaced by another. Living right across the Delaware River in New Jersey all but a half hour away, I've seen first hand what this stuff can do. These people are freakin' zombies.
  23. This is from the Bubba The Love Sponge radio show web site. It's a photo gallery called "Faces of Meth", which shows before and after pictures of meth heads. These are actual mugshots. Pretty disturbing stuff, not for the faint of heart. http://www.ktla.com/news/landing/wghp-pg-faces-of-meth,0,938349.photogallery
