  1. I ordered a bunch of DB Craws the other day. I cant wait to test them out. I've been waiting for a craw like this for awhile.
  2. Most of mine have 15lb flourocarbon that I jig fish with.
  3. I was hoping this topic would die. LOL Stripers- Nada. We tried trolling, casting, and drifting live bait. That deep water striper fishing is out of my realm. We did catch a bunch of catfish and a few KY's and Smallies. All the fish were approx 35 ft deep. Right on the thermocline. It was tough. I'll be going back in the spring hopefully when the Stripers are hitting topwater..
  4. Well, the 3/8-1/2 heads were the trick to keeping the A rig deep. No go on the fish though. I threw it until my arm got sore and even trolled it a bit.
  5. If your looking for silicone I can make quite a few colors.
  6. I've been asked several times lately if I would sell hooks. I have decided to add them to my site for all you guys that build for yourself and would like a great priced jig hook. I am currently only offering Owner but will soon have Mustad also. I'm selling them per hook at a bulk pricing so you will not have to buy a bunch for a good deal. http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/jig-hooks
  7. That is a long wide crack in fiberglass. I would have that professionally done especially if its in the glass and not the gel coat.
  8. In buying boats I have learned to take the boat to a shop before buying and have it checked. Its worth paying out 100-200 and not buy a broken down motor. I also do not do most of the maintenance. The motor is too expensive and I prefer to have a reliable do the work so if they do it wrong they will have to fix it.
  9. I fished the 50lb 832 for the last week. I liked it better than any braid I've used so far. I'll be sticking with it for some time.
  10. Nicely done!! Congrats.
  11. Wow, Nice fish. Congrats.
  12. Same as the rest of the year. A jig.
  13. For a weighted hook I use the one I offer. It works excellent for fishing above grass or a flutter slow horizontal fall presentation.
  14. I'm not sure on the style collar Northstar uses but I changed my 1/4-1/2 heads to a barbed collar instead of a double round collar on the shank of the hook. This could possibly hold some of the 1/8 oz difference in size if Northstar uses the poison tail mold. I just checked both the poison tail head and my current head. They weigh almost exactly the same but my 3/8 head is just a shade bigger due to the smaller lead on the shank.
  15. I've been looking for a tube worth something. I'll have to pick some up.
  16. Thank you all for the information. I'll let you know how it goes!!
  17. Will the rig stay down at a 1-2 mph troll?
  18. I'm going to be throwing/trolling a Yum A rig for the next week. All you guys that are fishing the A rig how do you get it down deep fast and hold? My thought is to use a big bullet weight on the line with jig heads on the A-Rig. I need to get the thing down to 25-30 FOW and hold there as long as possible.
  19. Mike, if she does get a handgun/shotgun please get her some training on it. I would hate to hear of an accident. I would go with a shotgun. Best home defense firearm out there.
  20. It works and can work very good at times.
  21. Still too small of a picture.
  22. I really need a better picture to tell for sure. Those are way too small to see the detail of the head.
