So Julies birthday is a couple days away. She really needed a great fishing rod that was her style and no major manufacture makes something like what I wanted. Ever since meeting Fishing Daddy (Lee) at Pickwick he has been really cool and wanted to help me out since he had met Julie down on Pickwick for one of BR's Road Trips. Road Trips are awesome!! What a great build. I can see why it takes so long to make a custom rod. This rod is phenomenal with awesome craftsmanship. Here it is 7'1" MH, Julies birthday present and yes I'm jealous and I will be fishing it this weekend.

I sell more 3/8 then any other weight. Probably all weights combined.

What are the water temps at the mile roads and around the Detroit river?

99% of the time I fish tubes I'm throwing a green pumpkin tube texas rigged.

blue bug is one of my favorites. Its a flashier version of black/blue.

I use one a lot like the one Smokinal posted. It paid for itself the first time I used it.

I've got 3. 3/8 finesse jig 1/4 oz Extreme Shaky Head with a Menace Green pumpkin tube

I'd have a hard time switching away from Owner. I haven't used that specific hook but if its anything like their flipping hook I would stick with Owner.

Sounds like a great spot to throw a jig. I'd start with a 3/8 also.

I use two different set ups. One is all braid for the dense nasty stuff and the other is 15lb fouro for basically all other jig fishing.

The cobra and arky are almost exactly the same. The only main difference is the angles on the front of the head instead of being round like the arky. If your wanting to stick with the cobra I'll build them for you. PM me all the info.
