If you have to get something wet...check the rivers...

Rick...spend a week end cruising the boat ramps in your area(Merrimack springs to mind) and see if there are provisions for docks or piers for boats to tie up during the warmer months. Then plan your trips for during the week when the ramps aren't busy and have at it. Lots of luck..... Grampa

I'm coming late to this discussion but went back to the beginning and read it all...My preference for the last 5 years or so has been Yo-zuri in 6#....when the soft came out, it also worked well with a little less memory. Throwing finesse baits was fairly easy and the occasional big fish would come in easily with the very high break strength. The problem now is finding 6# clear in bulk spools. Basspro doesn't carry it. Cabela's doesn't carry it and I didn't see it at Tackle Warehouse either. This is my line of choice so where do I find it?

I think I'd have to have Florida's Fish and Game on Speed Dial 888-404-3922...Drop a dime on the next guy that runs you off a spot and then see how long it takes their attitude to change. That's the dark that everyone needs to hear about.....JMHO Grampa

I fish with some fine fishermen and that includes my wife.....if you're laughing it's a fun fishing trip...and we're always laughing.

I doubt I'd ever get to circle 2 with all the underwater structure this place offers...the mouths of the inlets and outlets and all the depth changes off the west shore could keep you busy with various depth crankbaits for a long...long time. I'm thinking top water plugs, twitchbaits and maybe squarebills for the bay between 75 and 79......and we haven't even gotten to rubber yet.

Wait until you find out about rubber.....

I bet that cove behind the Island above 75th Ave warms up quickly in the spring. I'd probably fish deep where those channels meet in the heat of the summer.

Well buddy those young pitchers that can throw 98-100 mph showed up and Beltran showed up and those middle infielders with the magic gloves were there most of the time......they are going to be unstoppable very soon.... I'm just glad we got to them first. And hate is a very very strong word.

Great series...really kept the viewers on their toes...Cards have some great years to look forward to with all those young and talented players. This year Experience and Talent payed off...doesn't always work that way....Congrats to the "Beards"....and thanks for a very entertaining season. Now on to the Duck Boats.

Well...this is the most exciting World Series in a bunch of years and Wednesday night with the Cards "best" in front of the Red Sox home fans...it isn't going to get any calmer. On to game 6.
