  1. Congrats on the day George, What color Senko's were you using? I did a Tourney last fall here, I fished thick grass so thick I couldn't pull anything through it and topwater wasn't working. Frustrating because I knew the fish were there, just couldn't get'em to bite. So I did the same thing casting into holes in the grass with a white senko and started hammering them.
  2. Congrats on the boat Hawk. Nice fish guys.

  4. Sounds like a good day. Congrats. I've kept the lights on too. ;D
  5. Commercial Flooring Installer.
  6. ;D Too funny.
  7. Nice job Cart. When you were wrapping all of those hatches with carpet, I bet you were a happy guy with the contact cement. ;D Fishfordollars, Why you changing it?
  8. If you want to start tourney fishing at some point and spending that kind of money I wouldn't get anything smaller than a 18'6". I started out with a 16' with a 110 Hp. motor and it was perfect for me. Until my family got bigger and started Tournament fishing ( I had all the co-angler stuff in the boat also.) Went to a 17'6" boat same size motor, a little better but still too small. I currently fish out of a 20' F&S with a 200 Hp. motor and it's working fine, for now.
  9. Did you look at the boat yet or just online? and Are you looking for a F&S boat? I buy bass boats just to restore and sell. I buy only F&S for me to tourny fish out of and same boat will seat my family comfortably for family day. Anyway my advice for you is go check it out, make sure the floors aren't soft, also make sure the transom isn't soft as well. Tell him to start it, listen for any pinging or knocking noises, ask him about the maintenance records. Take it to a mechanic if your not sure. I don't know where you live but see if you can go out on the lake with him one day to run it. For me if it was a solid boat, I wouldn't shy away from it just because of the seats, there are good boats out there that just need a little money to be perfect. Also see if he will move on the price, he might be willing to.
  10. I fish with both types of frogs, so I don't have a favorite. I'll use the hollow body frogs (Spro being my favorite) for when I'm pitching under boat docks or trees, when the fish want something sitting still or I'll walk it back to the boat. Like Simp said "it's all in the walk". I'll use solid frogs ( Rage Tail my favorite) for when I find grass or lily pads. I do this when the fish are real active, I'll burn it across the lily pads or grass and stop it around 2 feet past the edge in open water. Another way with soft frogs is rip it across lily pads and stop it in the holes of lilys and let it sink for a second and wiggle your rod tip so the frog looks like its wiggling around trying to get out and back on the pads.
  11. After 10" inches, I don't think it should be called a worm anymore it should be called a baby snake. ;D Anyway if I'd throw it, it would be on a Owner 7/0 hook.
  12. I went out to Dick's sporting goods last night. All of the Shaws soft plastics were $.97 a bag, needless to say I bought out all of my favorite colors. ;D If you guys need to stock up on baits cheap, head to Dick's sporting goods and check'em out. Some of the All-Star rods were 30 bucks a piece also. Joey T.

  14. Tubes and jigs. I like the Strike Kings Bleeding Bait Series tubes. And as always my trusty Evo jig paired up with a Rage Chunk trailer.
  15. I'd buy the 7'6" rod. You'll be happier with it.
  16. Pitching a 7" ribbiontailed worm in red shad color, in structure.
  17. Fishfordollars, I remember when Mike posted that. It's Badarse. Here's my new one, 20' Javelin F&S with a Johnson 200 hp. Got measured up for stickers last week. Nothing like yours fishfordollars, just basic. ;D
  18. Same thing happened to me, I lost half of the day messing around with the boat, I had the engine cover off, looking at the motor. I couldn't figure it out and was starting to get mad. Then, I was walking back to the consol to try and start the motor again and noticed the kill switch clip laying on the floor. Man, I felt like an Arse that day. :-[

  20. Nah, there was nothing wrong with the chicken. ;D I just want to know about the fire pits because I wanted to make some pizza mountain pies as an evening snack.
  21. I grew up on my dad's pontoon boat and a canoe, we always fished with a splitshot and a minnow or worms. He had bought me a Tom Manns rod, I called it the Christmas tree the bottom half was green and top was red, I still have that rod.
  22. I like the Strike King Shadalicious swimbait in AYU, green gizzard and neon ghost minnow colors. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_100875?cm_mmc=froogle-_-100-18-2-_--1-_-38-250-311-04&hvarAID=froogle&mr:trackingCode=7E75D4A7-E881-DE11-B712-001422107090&mr:referralID=NA
