  1. I think a majority of bass migrate to different locations throughout the year, but there also resident bass, that don't move far from their home. the resident bass are usually located in the shallows by a piece of structure, with deep water close by so they don't move far from their location when it gets too warm or cold.
  2. They over reacted, to place her under arrest for something so silly. Did you guys read down where it says a 5 year old was taking to a psych ward for acting out in class. WTH, what's wrong with the schools today. Did they forget their just kids, being immature is their nature. :Here it is: This is just wrong > And in 2008, 5-year-old Dennis Rivera was cuffed and sent to a psych ward after throwing a fit in his kindergarten.
  3. I like flyfishing that's why I do it, it's just something different. My buddy who goes with me uses a split shot and live minnow. To tell you the truth, he out fishes me every time. ;D
  4. Go up into the fishing articles and just start reading. After you've been fishing for a few years, you'll start to get a sense of where the bass are at. It's just not something you can learn overnight. Believe me I tried. ;D When I get to the lake I start looking at the lake itself. Which way the winds blowing, are there fish busting at the surface, is it a warm foggy morning or a bright sunny morning, are the baitfish up in coves or are they relating to the cover, where are the bass, are they spawning or are they down deep in their summer spots. I mean the list can go on and on. So that's a hard Question to answer, to me at least.

Congrats to you and your family Catt.
  6. Another 6-10 inches of snow for me on top of the 40-50 mph winds we are having right now. >
  7. Good one. ;D
  8. good ones. I like the second one down.
  9. Great pics JFrancho. Francho has the right idea, At this point in the year I wouldn't even consider fishing for SM in a stream. I have a couple fly rods I bring out in this situation. Those trout are loving the cold water right now and are active, so enjoy some trout fishing.
  10. lol, good one Brian.
  11. I had a rod like that for Walleye fishing, I don't think you'll like that rod much after about an hour tossing a lure. It's too heavy and bulky, If your going to use it for flipping I would also look at getting a rod with a cork handle. MY .02 Like these guys said, spend the xtra few bucks to get a nicer rod, you'll be happier you did and you'll want to keep it, not throw it off the boat.
  12. Alot of the Rage Tail baits I use have coffee scent added to them. I don't know if the scent really works, I think it's just the action of the bait. I bet if I got some RT baits without any scent on them I would catch just as many fish. ;D
  13. I've seen these work first hand, I was on a tourney and my co-angler for the day was throwing one. He outfished me every 2 to 1. > No Gimmick.
  14. The bait monkey has been good to me this year, everything I got so far has been on sale. 8-)
  15. x2 I check a couple times year to see what colors they are for the different seasons, then I make my jigs or craws to match.
  16. The lightest line I use is 8lb. Gamma line. I don't use anything lighter for the simple fact I fish heavy cover alot and don't want to risk to losing a fish.
  17. I'm betting that we would be meeting in Erie, Pa. little_stephen, Start stocking up on tubes, craws and weights for the trip. Depending when we go, that's what I'll be throwing.
  18. I agree it's all about being courteous to the pros, the locals know they were playing for big money, so why intervene with being in the way and to ruin their chances of the prize money. Tin, I never heard that story before. That surprises me, some idiot would try that. If it was me, I'd back off and see how the pro approached that area, I might learn something by doing so.
  19. I like to use the Owner Twist-locks and the Gammy G-lock hooks.
  20. to the site. I wish I could help out with finding you a club, but I'm on the other side of the state.
