  1. A floating UFO. ;D Neat looking, I hate to get caught out in a storm with it.
  2. It's a get together You would benefit by meeting Burley. ;D J/K It's great just to put faces on the names you see on here almost daily. You also go to a lake most of us won't see again until there's another Roadtrip there. It's great time and you don't want the trip to end. I hated saying goodbye to everyone on the last day. That was the worst part of the trip for me.
  3. Good eye Cart, what's the deal with that Brian? Huh... ;D I'm going to send the money in, I just have alot of money out right now on jobs we've been doing. The money should be rolling back in within the next week or so. Mike, that's why you haven't recieved my check yet. This is a rough year for everyone in business for themselves, I took alot of hits last year and still have been trying to catch myself up from it, so I can see why alot of people are not going to go. What money they do have sits in the bank for another rainy day.
  4. My question to you is, How often do you fish in the rain? If your like me and are out there in rain or shine, then I would seal it.
  5. On my last project, I changed out the metal one for this one. http://www.discountmarinesupplies.com/product.cgi?group=71408&product=82215
  6. X2 That's all my wife does, She won't let me anymore. I used to get so mad, once I smashed the phone off of the floor, I couldn't take it anymore. ;D
  7. Simp One suggestion, if your getting a new tank buy the biggest one you can fit. I don't know if you take long runs or not but if you do that 12 gallons with a 60 won't do a all day run. I run the rivers here alot and some days I burn threw almost 20 gallons in a day with my old 110 and I don't even want to talk about the 200, it loves gas. ;D Like K_Mac said it might be just your primer ball filled with junk. It's a cheap repair most Wally worlds carry what you need to get the job done.
  8. My last project had a couple soft spots on the floor and it Really wasn't a big deal. I wanted to put new carpet on it anyway. If you like the boat go check it out and look it over real well. Look at the transom, get up on the motor and see if the transom flexes, if it does run away. See where the soft spot are, if there near the drains on the boat then, that's just something all boats do over age. But what he recommended by slapping another piece of wood over the old, you're asking for trouble. Do it once and do it right, is the way it should be done. Just prepare yourself it's going to be some work. We can help you through it.
  9. What happened your scale break? ;D I'd say it's a chunky 3.5 pounder.
  10. Yep that's what it is, My first boat had a plastic tank on it with a vent and it did the same thing, it get on plane then die. I looked at the tank and it was all crushed in. Opened the vent the whole way, ran like a champ after that. Don't worry Simp, you'll learn. It takes one or two times out out on the water.
  11. Man, I wish I had some more of that cheese, those cheeseballs I made were good. YUM.
  12. Just make sure you wire the wires and the jumper right when connecting the batteries. It should be wired a positive from one battery running to the TM, on the same battery run the negative to the positive on the second battery and the negative on that battery runs to the TM. Hope that helps.
  13. Ya think? ;D I'm taking the long boring drive down all alone this time, atleast I have satellite radio to keep me busy.
  14. how about this one. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/csw/boa/1626271211.html This looks exactly like my first boat but mine was smurf blue and white ;D It was a great boat and lasted me for years, I sold it to a friend and he's still using it.
  15. I don't know about the second one, rotted parts of the floor can spell disaster for you, especially not having any experience working on them. If the floor is soft, most likely the transom is too, and that's alot of money to fix.
  16. If you never had your own boat, I would suggest getting a smaller boat and engine. like the one your looking at. When you grow out of it, get a bigger one. When I first started, I'd go out in the middle of the week to teach myself how to load and unload the boat and got the feel for it when running it at WOT. After I got comfortable with it, then I could go on the weekend and not worry about people waiting for me loading and unloading.
  17. I take up two pumps. One to fill the van and the other for the boat. No problems then. ;D
  18. Leno is only funny, when his writers are funny. There is no stand up act anymore for him, it's all wrote down. I say get all new writers and a new host.
  19. Basser, you going up to BR Erie trip this year? I also want to go over and fish Raystown again this summer. When I go to Raystown, I'll be calling Wayne so he can teach me some of his swimbait skills. ;D Maybe meet up with us then.
  20. That weekend works out great for me, I'm going to stay at my brothers camp. It's up at Pymatuning, I'll be an hour away.
  21. I voted the Shimano, it's a good all around rod and it's sensitive to feel the light hits. Also like Cart said, All Star rods are nice and good price point also. Dick's sporting goods just had a sale on All-Star rods, if you go to a store and look you might be able too pick one up cheap.
  22. I'm up in Western Pa, and I patterned the fish to be at 8-12 feet. Try Slo-rolling a spinnerbait, jig and a jerkbait. Just get out there and enjoy, before he heads off.
  23. Pulling it around, you might be fine. But when you try and stop in hurry you might have a problem. That and loading and unloading at the ramp you might have problem also. Try it if anything you'll burn your tires off the first time you load it and pull it out of the lake. ;D
  24. EL_Grande that's what my Pit/Lab weighs 149 lbs. We just got his shots and the vet weighed his big ole butt. ;D
