  1. The storm last week put a hurting on water temps and fish behavior on the lake. Just wondering if anyone else has been fishing Hunting Run and how your day(s) on the water went. So far my best this year was 8.5lbs on the lake, how about you? Planning on getting out on Friday.
  2. Does anyone on here ever do any fishing for trout? I enjoy going after brookies and browns up near skyline drive. Also fish some native streams in WV.
  3. I'm a big fan of Chipotle if you have one nearby. They source all their foods from local farms and do their part to help the local economy.
  4. Agree 110%, on one of my local "big bass" lakes I always get crazy looks when I'm pulling up 10lb carp on a fly rod. ;D

  6. I'm in Milwaukee for 5 days, then off to watersmeet for 7, then back to Germantown for 6 days. If anyone is in these areas and has any tips on locations / patterens or any free time and wants a fishing partner, I'm here. Looking to catch some smallmouth and northerns. I plan on spending some time on the Milwaukee river right now and we have a boat the whole time we're in watersmeet, but any info would be great.

Amazing! I really like the light gold on the red craw!
  9. I am no electrician, and the guy who owned my boat before me was def. not. He told me he "rewired" the boat to install a cd player/radio and he made a complete mess of things using black wire for every connection. I had to replace a solenoid last fall and in doing so most of the wiring fell apart. The boat is a 1986 Nitro with a 150 Mercury Black Max motor. So I have since removed the radio/speakers and wiring and I've come to the conclusion that the trim tilt pump is a giant confusion. What I know is green is down and blue is up. I've attached some pics of what I'm working with... What I don't get is the three prong plug that I've shown with a red arrow, it has 2 blues and 1 green wire that go to.. where? and a random brown wire that seems to go nowhere in the 2nd pic. I have toggles for the trim on the front deck, throttle, and on the back. Any / All help and direction will be helpful! Thanks!
  10. Really like #3, Great Job!
  11. I like the vibration/motion U get from Pack'a'chunk or Rage tail. I don't think you would get the same results, but I'm sure it would catch fish.

  13. Here's the quantum rap as an mp3 file. Just email it to your phone and save it as a ringtone. http://www.youshare.com/Guest/3fd28be21efec685.mp3.html
  14. My favorite: Quantum Fishing Rap Commercial, I actually use it as my ringtone on my cell 8-)
  15. In clear lakes I like a blue/small black flake 7" straight worm with about 1/4" of the tail dyed green. Works wonders.
  16. Very Cool! 8-)
  17. ColorCLector.... eh.... Spokeswoman.... ;D ;D
  18. When going from Fredericksburg to Richmond on Rt.1 you pass over the North Anna, Matta, and the Po Rivers. I was wondering if anyone has ever fished these rivers in the vicinity with any success.
  19. -Day one fishing in WI caught a nice smallie under a very nice laydown on a T-riged craw, had a gap taken out of him. -Day two - Same bait - same time of day - same location - same fish.. it got a good laugh out of me. -Day three.. I thought to myself no way this will happen.. repeated everything and same fish once again. The fishing buddy was laughing so hard he about cried. -I would have liked to see a day 4, but all fishing trips sadly have to end sometime.

Hey I just got back from a trip to N. WI. We were seeing the same type of situation up there and found that 5.5inch/6.5inch soft plastic swimbaits (Luck ''E'' Strike Bass Magic) rigged with a heavy vertical drop/swimbait hook would swim right through.
  21. I just got back from Northern WI, we were catching some nice fish throwing big soft plastic swimbaits at outside weedlines.
  22. Came across this on YouTube. Anyone from N.Va will especially get a kick out of it. I'm not a rap fan, but this is pretty clever.
  23. Hey, I'll be fishing Thousand Island Lake from 6/26 - 7/3. It will be my second trip to the lake. The first trip went well producing some 3-4lb smallmouth on drop shots and two northerns. So this time around I figured I'd ask for some help/tips. I would love to hook up with a Musky while I'm up there, but I've been told there are better lakes to do that in. I'm also looking into doing some fly fishing in the surrounding river systems so any help there would be great! If anyone is planning to be fishing during this time frame maybe we could meet up. I'd be willing to help cover any expenses if you were venturing to a not too far away lake. Thanks for the help!
  24. Hey. I'm going to be in Germantown visiting relatives from June 20th-25th and from July 4th-7th. I've fished the Milwaukee River and the Root River on my last visits. Landed a few good steelhead/browns/and northerns. This trip I'm looking for some help. I would like to find some good smallmouth/musky water or some trout. Anyone that could offer any advice would be greatly appreciated. If you have some time or were planning to do some fishing around these dates please let me know if you'd be interested in showing a southern boy some northern waters. I'd be willing to help with any boat/lunch etc. expenses. Thanks! Also. I'll be fishing Thousand Island Lake in the Michigan UP from 6/26-7/3 so if you have any pointers about that lake or other waters around Watersmeet MI it would be helpful. It will be my 2nd trip to that lake.
