  3. Yes I do obsess over one bass ~ This exact one - she was released by that guy there in the picture. She was an outrageous 7 plus then. One can only imagine what this Behemoth would weigh in at now. I want her. A-Jay http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/gallery/image/10962-gallery-12184-71-257081/
  4. Looks like it. Would probably only work here early and late in the season. The snow piles up on the ice pretty quick here and I do believe that could be problematic for this particular craft. Also Boats, I'd need you to come up and qualify me on it so I can get my "Letter" A-Jay
  5. That's cool. And they even got to "Touch his Arse" Not may can claim that one. A-Jay

  7. I've been in the new one that just opened (a year or two ago) in the Millcreek Marketplace, adjacent to Millcreek Mall, in Erie, Pa. My description is IMPRESSIVE. Big, well stocked, has EVERYTHING & More. Enjoy. A-Jay
  8. X2 ~ ! I agree with Paul - one can make much more of a hookset than what in presented here. But that doesn't mean it's needed. This covers it. A-Jay

  15. This made me smile & is a rather timely post. With a another heavy snow dumping in progress here today, I am current utilizing the opportunity to participate in the annual pre-Season Rod Preparation as well. Mine is similar but I use warm water and Klasse All-In-One Polish. (not on the handles of course.) Have used it for years on my vehicles and have always been very pleased. Started using it on my rods a while ago and have never looked back. Thanks for the Well Wishes & Same to you. A-Jay

  19. Sweet ~ If it's sturdy enough, the Striped Bass & Cobia fisherman might be interested in that one . . . A-Jay

  21. Thanks for hooking a brother up - I really appreciate it. My Brain is frozen too. A-Jay
  22. The bass season opener here in Northern Lower Michigan is routinely the third Saturday in April. There is a distinct possibility that this year, the lakes will still be frozen, Solid. So Spring - not so much. A-Jay
  23. Although we as bass fisherman like to think our quarry is a good "fighter" and one that challenges our tackle, when compared to the tuna, the reality is There is No Comparison. As several of the membership here have responded, "fighting" these fish is something that must be experienced to appreciate. It's one thing to have the tackle connected to the boat and an entirely different deal, when you are battling one of these freaks on stand-up tackle. I've done it a few times and clearly nothing in the class of the fish landed routinely by the Commercial Crowd. But I promise you, Fighting & landing your first, even a "Small Tuna" which may be 100 lbs or so, is an angling experience, you will never forget. And going back a little, as a US Coast Guard member, I had the opportunity to participate and assist in the regulation of this fishery off the east coast from Maine to North Carolina. Over the years I had a front row seat to watch those boys battle some real tanks. What you see on TV is pretty much how I remember it. Finally, I really love Sushi. A-Jay

    That could be Bluebasser's boy soon ~ ! A-Jay
  25. I don't care to know Why some of the biggest fish of the season come a little shallower & ready to eat making them easier to target, I just try to be there when they do. A-Jay
