This is one version of a Punching rig. Here's the rig, from the main line to the hook: -A stopped knot (I use a double uni-knot made from left over braided line) - A small bead to keep the knot from slipping through the weight. - A 3/4 to 1 1/2 oz tungsten weight - a Boss Punch Hub - this is placed inside the skirt collar - The skirt of your choice - A parasite clip (optional, but does help prevent the plastic from sliding down the hook) - A 5/0 Owner wide gap plus EWG hook (#5139 - very stout, I love this hook) - Your favorite soft plastic - pictured is a Power Bait Beast Hope this helps A-Jay
  2. Try Carhart Loose fit boot cut - they compare to the 507's. Also that underlined description is called - "The Dun Lap Disease" That's when your belly done lapped over your belt. . . . . . . . . A-Jay

  7. Sufix 832 briad - 10lb with the Yozuri Hybid leader of your choice ~ 4 to 6 lb. A-Jay
  8. A Man Card removal might be in order right here - or a Suspension at the very least. A-Jay
  9. Too bad you lost interest Tom. Although the games has changed over the years (most pro sports have) it is still a very exciting and action packed spectator sport. Maybe this would be a good time for you to rekindle your passion for the game. A-Jay
  10. It's all good - I just mentioned it because I was surprised they even aired that shot. I get it, he wears short shorts but they should have left the close up of the man's junk on the cutting room floor. It didn't really add anything to the production, if you know what I mean. No worries. A-Jay
  11. Looks like there's going to be some hockey this year. Like so many, I'm bummed that this foolishness took place at all. So now it will be an abbreviated training camp, followed by a strike shortened season where every game is a bit more meaningful. Getting off to a good start and avoiding injuries early could be very advantageous. If they go with a full Playoff schedule (which is what has been discussed) the playoffs might be longer than the regular season . . . . . A-Jay
  12. I know - This is the second time it has been mentioned here - And it was pretty Bogus man. . . . . In the interest of good taste, in the future I'd like to suggest that this be referred to as "Tommy Toe". A-Jay
  13. A common definition of a clown : A buffoon or jester who entertains by jokes, antics, and tricks, play, or other presentation. But what's in a name anyway - ? A-Jay
  14. Mike is a graduate of Rowan University - and he is fairly well known - and so is Ronald McDonald . . . . . A-Jay
  15. LOL ~ ! A wise man indeed. A-Jay

  17. X2 You and me both Brother ~ need the bagginess in the Arse. A-Jay
  18. Oh I almost forgot - it makes a bit of a mess of your boat - - needles all over the place . . . . A-Jay
  19. Yup - Back in the day, a friend of mine and I did the same thing. And in typical fashion, we snagged Waaaaay more than we could use. It took us a while to get them all rigged & ready, but once we did, we set out to splash those bad boys all over the lake. Did I mention we were doing it, One At A Time - with a 10 foot Coleman Crawdad and a seriously under powered Minn Kota. We did take some fish off them though. Good Luck My Friend. A-Jay
  20. I've been buying it on line now for a few years and for all the reason already mentioned here. Additionally, if you fish in more than one state and / or travel a ways to fish in another state, that ability / convenience of getting the paper work done in advance is nice. A-Jay
  21. This Owner Ultra head works well for an option to the regular open hook presentation. A-Jay https://www.ownerhooks.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=90&osCsid=37i26nt1hltng6aa0i8g5jsvd3
  22. I've said this before - Ike is truly a very skilled and highly passionate competitive angler. I especially admire his abilities during any one of the numerous "How To Video's" found all over the web. He has a very natural and highly effective delivery while describing / demonstrating every topic he covers. But why this seemingly articulate middle aged man, chooses to relay his excitement during a fish catch, in the manner in which he does, will always be a mystery to me. Those antics do not match his otherwise Professional presentation. A-Jay
  23. X2 ~ I especially enjoyed Denny Brauer's technique. "The Old Crotch Squeeze" looked effective enough but one might argue that a brief trip on the carpet might not be any more debilitating . . . A-Jay
  24. Chatterbait is my guess. Looked like a Z Man Original. Or - it might have been something he pulled from between his toes when his shoe fell off . . . A-Jay
  25. Very Nice ~ ! Nothing like starting the new year off by putting a good bend in a new rod, using a new bait / technique and in conditions you've not seen much . . . . . . Hope it's the first of many more successes for you. A-Jay
