  2. Just a few more days ~ But I've been packed for A While. A-Jay
  3. Agreed But I've had 5 lb brown bass open standard Gamakatsu EWG's. So when it comes to DD green bass, the rule of gross tonnage applies. A-Jay
  4. Just hang'n out ~ #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  5. In capable of over coming crushers grip / Not burying the hook. I was fishing a Super Fluke on a weighted EWG superline hook. Like I said, bad Idea. I have since fixed that problem #20lbtatsu A-Jay
  6. A mental thing ? Most definitely. It was a completely mental idea using that thread on big bass. A-Jay
  7. I've been using the 8, 10, 15 & 20 lb as the main line on my spinning reels for the past several years with a high level of success. Does everything I need it to, and more importantly, nothing I do not. IMO. it's a Good Braid at those tests. This fish came on the 8 lb 832 and 8 lb FC leader https://youtu.be/zIqCmH_52IQ?t=727 Fish Hard A-Jay
  8. You know I thought that too - And before I knew better, I tried the 12 lb Big Game on some of these . . . Let's just say it did not work for me. Not enough hook setting horse power. A-Jay
  9. Glad you caught it. I've done that same type of deal a few times. Usually it because I knocked the rig out of my own hand on the cast or something similar. Fish fingers may have been a contributing factor. Either way, it's not a Thor type feeling for me, more like a first class spazoid. Afterwards, while trying to play it off and look like Joe Cool, I do the old 'look around' to see if anyone saw what had to look like a full body wretch. A-Jay

Nice Bass ~ Congrats on your New Personal Best A-Jay
  16. There are a couple of lakes that fall into this category for me. But both are much bigger bodies of water. Late summer the bait and bass can be found shallow(er) on GREEN Weed. And that will continue for several weeks. Then 'something' changes. No Cue what. In these same areas, the weeds are still green for the most part, but most of the bait and ALL of the bass are gonzo. I've spent a massive amount of time & effort (especially this and the previous two seasons) trying to figure this deal out as these waters are some of my best plus size brown bass stuff. Searched & Tried everything I can think of in 4 feet to 40 feet. Zilch City. What is equally as frustrating, is that a couple of other lakes that are just a few miles away and seem 'very similar', do not pose this puzzle for me. Not giving up though because if & when I finally unlock whatever this 'secret' is, it could be epic. Fish Hard A-Jay
  17. I use both the 300D and the TranX 300 A-Jay
  18. Caught a nice limit of fish sandwiches this afternoon ~ cue the hot fat. A-Jay
  19. The 1875 Pro-V Bass is the only bass boat I've ever owned. Does it all for me. Fish Hard A-Jay
  20. Well You Are the Record holder after all . . . Congrats A-Jay
  21. Completed workout number 141 for this year. I am right on track A-Jay
  22. I hope you're right. Jeff's sitting on a 12.23 and my top fish is an 11.11 caught on 11/ 11 - Veterans Day in fact Lake levels are favorable and close to what was going on in 2018. And that was as epic week. Either way, Thanks for the positive vibes my friend. A-Jay
  23. We have that here several times during open water. In the morning (and when I night fished more), I am often bundled up like the Stay Puff dude as air temps are in the low 40's. Come about noon, I'm looking for a Brass pole ! A-Jay
  24. I use metal reels Calcutta 300D's and Tranx 300's. Both beasts and yes they hold up well. Me, not so much. She was a swimbait fish that hit in open water. But until I actually fished in a place that had 'many' double digit fish, I just didn't understand what that fight is like. These mutants can pop lesser line with a simple head shake. Now extracting one of these out of "Any Cover" is a completely different deal and demands plus size rigs. Heavy Gear is the Law for me. A-Jay
