  1. Perhaps But this thread started out by comparing the average Joe with the Pros. In my mind there is a big gap between 'a good stick' and an Average Joe. There may be less in the way of performance and ability on waters across the country between a good stick and the Pro. Personally, I am hoping to eclipse average status any day now. Fish Hard A-Jay

  6. This is a killer deal on the 22lb if you're interested. I certainly was. Now my new Lake Baccarac line https://discounttackle.com/collections/fishing-line-fluorocarbon/products/seaguar-tatsu-fluorocarbon-1000-yards?variant=39401656189017 Fish Hard A-Jay
  7. @softwateronly nailed. These baits 'fish very light'. In the low current described, the 3/8's may be the best super shallow offering. Add any current and or some depth, the 1/2 and the 3/4 oz baits will totally come into play. Killer bait BTW. Fish Hard A-Jay
  8. Guilty as charged. Life like hair and Kung Fu Grip. Not real sure either of them helped win the Battle. A-Jay

  16. How many "Average Joe" bass anglers do you think are out there who could dominate the pros? I am going with Very Few. And I will also note that very few pros 'dominate' very often and or for very long. While it has and still does happen, my feeling is that there's a decent chance the average Joe may underestimate what it takes and how tough it is. I enjoy being a spectator. A-Jay
  17. Very sorry for the loss of your brother. A-Jay
  18. Times were different. May or may not mean better. The racism was brutal. I remember some obscure things like: ~Watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. ~Drinking Tang ~Air Travel was easy, actually fun and everybody smoked. ~How about getting slapped really hard right in the face in public for being stupid. Try doing that one now..... And I deserved every one I got. ~Drive In Movies ~ a Gallon of gas and a loaf of bread cost the same like $0.30 cents I have to stop here. #borninfiftynine A-Jay

  20. Was there ever any doubt ? #nope Congrats Sir. btw - your exploits really do deserve their own thread, just saying. A-Jay
  21. I highly recommend having a unit approved by an agency that's on the water rather than flying over it (mostly). #USCG "Very Cheap" might not be the highest priority right here. Stay Safe A-Jay

  23. Not every training session is a record breaker. But at this point, seems they rarely need to be. #borninfiftynine. A-Jay
  24. Been watching this one. Mr Neal has a substantial lead after 2 periods on Championship Day. Good fishing day today there. So no lead seems safe, especially with an entire period left. A-Jay
  25. Look closely and you'll see that there is a (temporary) black line or cord strung up between the Talons used to support them. #oldcoastguardguymove A-Jay Good eye. A-Jay
