  1. Knocked out what will be my last Total Body Workout for a while. Always enjoy this style of training but it's time to switch it up as this one has run it's course. I'll be transitioning back to a 3-Day Split of Legs - Push - Pull starting this week. Stay Safe & Train Hard #borninfiftynine #fitforlife A-Jay
  2. The bigger pike prefer cooler water. On middle to smaller sized lakes, early and late season, big pike will be in the 'shallower' water while it's still cool. Once water temps start creeping above 68-ish in the skinny water, the plus size models relocate to cooler, usually deeper haunts. On the largest bodies of water up north where the water temps remain cool longer, mid depth flats with cabbage can be very good during the summer. When no contact is made shallow(er), looking deeper may be the way to go. Good Luck. A-Jay
  3. I like them both ~ Quite a bit actually . . . Locally the plus sized models of both are not an everyday occurrence. Wish they were though . . . . Fish Hard A-Jay
  4. Nicely Done ~ Congrats on the new personal Best ! The Big Bass after glow always feels so good. A-Jay
  5. I have done ok with these baits while targeting the local brown bass. The perch bait produces nicely in the 300 and the 300 deep. A-Jay

  10. Under 'normal' circumstances', I'd totally agree with you. I like JW a lot and would Never question his skill & phenomenal tournament record. And I am Totally addicted to big brown bass, and there were plenty of of trophies landed, seemingly every hour of this one. However, Competitive fishing aside, you can count ME as The Single Person on here, who has no desire to lay on my belly and stare into that flogger deal for hours on end, looking & hooking for brown bass on deep water beds. The spot lock TM's made this all possible in the current and as a relatively new deal, it really made a huge difference, IMO. Not a bad thing, but clearly a game changer. So there's that. A-Jay

  16. I've been using a couple of different versions of this folding / pocket sized stone deal for years. Very Decent https://www.amazon.com/stores/Diamond+Machine+Technology+(DMT)/page/DAE551D2-AA52-4AA5-84E8-9F0707250490?ref_=ast_bln https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/990A994A-8BC4-462C-AEB2-B29EBD0D1B48?ingress=2&visitId=5dd873d0-e054-4a37-927a-9750e16aae3f&ref_=ast_bln A-Jay

  18. I use 8 & 10 lb braid & 8lb FC leader with this one. With a Uni to Uni Knot A-Jay
  19. Who else is making it happen ? A-Jay
  20. Daiwa Tatula Elite AGS Spinning Rod 7'6" ML Feider model is what I use for presenting baits in that light weight range. Killer stick IMO, with WAY more fish fighting ability than I would have thought prior to fishing it. This is it in action . . . https://youtu.be/3OXnPQs0bqQ?t=61 A-Jay
  21. Here's the two boxes (shallow & deep baits) They all get bites but the biggest producers are the perch, Ayu & clown. Fish Hard A-Jay
  22. The other second chance bait for me is the A-Rig. Fished it quite a bit for nearly TWO Seasons without as much as a bump. Tried MANY Different types, brands & models. Practically threw my shoulders off in the process. Kept watching videos of folks just smashing bass with it but I was not. It was pretty demoralizing and fairly depressing. Stuck with it and finally, late summer a few years back, I got a clue on how & where to fish it in my area. #lightswitchflippedon Although still sort of a niche' bait for me, it's been a big fish deal ever since. Fish Hard A-Jay
  23. Wind knots with braid are often caused by line twist. Spinners & Spoon are notorious baits for adding massive line twist; especially when fished on spinning gear. Here's one way to remove line twist. Finally, Perhaps consider using a ball bearing swivel when fishing spoons & spinners, it could help. Good Luck A-Jay
