  1. And I'm bringing it back ~ Such a great thread for so many reasons. Above and beyond all the knowledge dropped, this one may be a perfect example of the stuff this forum was built on. I say read it. A-Jay
  2. Here ya go ~ The MAGNUM Baits Mauler Creature Bait comes in at 6.25" and weighs over an ounce. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-MAGNUMB.html?from=basres A-Jay
  3. I get that and can not totally disagree. Perhaps this is why I feel somewhat conflicted. But something about it just rubs me the wrong way. Thus my reaction here. Maybe I'll buy one. A-Jay
  4. Several MLF "Pros" (many are at The Top of the leader board) are using the below device (or something very similar) to spot Brown Bass on beds in deeper water. They are actually using this thing WHILE presenting a bait (usually a drop shot) to feed the fish. Holding it in one hand with the rod in the other. I am not a fan #weaksalad A-Jay
  5. Agreed ~ Interesting that throwing the A-Rig is banned during professional bass fishing competition but the Aqua Scope is quite acceptable ? And what does this say regarding the Electronic packages most anglers have that are usually north of 10K vs $55 Bucks for an Aqua Scope ? https://www.amazon.com/NuovaRade-Jointed-Aqua-Scope-Red/dp/B01JGNPOOS/ref=sr_1_2?crid=AGFDXBGXUW32&dchild=1&keywords=aqua+scope+viewer&qid=1624709301&sprefix=aqua+scope%2Caps%2C179&sr=8-2 #baffling A-Jay
  6. You'll get out of this exactly what you're willing to put into it. It takes time on the water and a quite a bit of learning to become proficient enough to catch bass. Can't say if any of that is easyor not but many bassheads look at that process as fun. Good Luck A-Jay
  7. Focused on Time Under Tension today ~ A-Jay
  8. Deep Jerkbaits always play a significant role in my fishing. Fish Hard A-Jay
  9. Since these are Pro's, this is a Considerably less impressive style of 'fishing' IMO. Flogging ~ The original 'down scan' . . A-Jay
  10. If 'location' is the The Single Most important factor in determining if I get bites, sort of stands to reason that putting my bait "right there" would seriously increase my chances of success. May not matter when the bass are 'suicidal', but I always seem to get to the lake the day After that happens. So yea, casting accuracy is a priority for me although I will admit most all of it still needs to happen at 'distance' as well. A-Jay

  14. My favorite ploy for suspended brown bass is to first, reach into the cooler and grab a sandwich. Then wave at them on the graph as I eat it and pass right on by. I gave up fishing for 'chilling fish' a long time ago. So few things I've ever tried work enough to call them even remotely effective. Rather go look for fish that are on some structure / cover. Or at least relating to something rather than hanging out in 30 ft over 60. No Thanks ? A-Jay
  15. Ya Thanks Some of those left handed baits are hard to find don't chaknow. Btw, perhaps try leaving the hooks on them next time out. ? A-Jay
  16. Nicely Done ~ 'Clockwork' is always fun. A-Jay
  17. Decided to step up my Mexican Lipless Game a little . . . . . Fish Hard A-Jay
  18. I can relate to that ~ On topic - While mono was all I used for a long time (mostly because, that's all there was) I use FC for most all my cranking needs now. Is it 'needed' ? Does it help me catch more or bigger bass ? Honestly, I can not say for sure, but what I do know for certain is that it lasts a heck of a lot LONGER on the spool. Fish Hard A-Jay

  23. Sort of thinking that there IS NO answer ~ Because not everyone plays by "The Same Rules". I'm also pretty sure that a decent portion of the boating public up this way doesn't know that there ARE any rules. Except for the ones that they make up as they go along. Good Times . . . . ? A-Jay
